  1. Would be nice if the offense could finish with a lead. So many chances wasted to put games away against mediocre to bad teams, next time they face a good team that’ll bite them
  2. I’m not sure I’d call what they did with the O-line “patching together” when they deliberately went out and invested significantly on three interior guys. The LT spot is a patchwork, but the line as a whole is a deliberate investment.
  3. He’s been more than fine.
  4. The only teams in the west with a higher points percentage than Chicago (.632) are Colorado, Dallas and Anaheim. They are tied with Winnipeg and Vegas. 10 teams are below them. 13 more teams in the East are below them, including the entire Atlantic division. Carolina and New Jersey are the only teams in the east ahead of them in points %.
  5. Two fake winning teams face off the week before Thanksgiving in Chicago. Somebody will be exposed. Chicago is favored by 3 or 3.5 depending on the source I’m assuming AAaaaaron plays despite a broken wrist. Either he beats the Bears for the 137th time or Chicago ends his career. Either way
  6. And yet yesterday we had 12 punts in the game. And 10 guys have punted more than 40 times this year. there’s a half dozen teams with high powered offenses capable of just completely foregoing punts on 4th down. But there will always be teams that count on their defenses to carry them through a competitive season, not to mention the 10 or so completely incompetent teams that can’t just expose their defenses to such terrible field position every drive. punting is nowhere near being gone.
  7. As unimpressive as the Bears wins have been this year, the packers aren’t much better. They tied the lowly cowboys team that the Bears blew out. They lost to the garbage Browns and also lost to Carolina and squeezed out a win over nyg. They did beat Detroit in week 1 and are one of only 5 nfc teams with a positive points differential over 10. They should overtake the bears eventually but they could definitely split with Chicago and/or Minnesota. And also have to face a desperate Detroit team soon and a surging Baltimore and extremely hot Denver.
  8. The Vikings radio guys aren’t fans of JJM. Special teams and defense decided this game, and somehow the bears won those areas?
  9. They are playing playoff caliber (as in 2nd wild card sacrificial lamb) hockey right now
  10. I’d be fine with that…, but still want interior OL added.
  11. 58/42 taking Bears +3.5 on CBS pick em
  12. with one pick in each of the first five rounds and 3 7th rounders currently, I think defensive line has to be addressed early. They need to keep the OL pipeline flowing, especially with three old dudes on the interior. They do not need to draft WR or TE (or punter). They do need RB. And you can never have enough corners. DE, DT, OL, RB, CB
  13. I think they were seriously outplayed in 5 on 5. But that’s too be expected against one the best teams in the league. Knight absolutely stole a point for them
  14. LT is a hole but I think the biggest is lack of pass rush and that’s not injuries, that’s self inflicted roster management the secondary holes are more of an injury thing. But that’s football
  15. Injuries are starting to mount. After starting the season banged up and then sent down to Rockford, the hawks have called up Landon Slaggert with Burakovsky a game time decision, Nazar still day to day and Dickinson on IR.
  16. Littered with mediocrity. Plus two good teams Only a winning record because of losing point. They’ve lost half their games

  18. If you’re getting Vikings +2.5 take it
  19. Revenge is a dish best served cold but inside U.S. Bank Stadium it’ll only dip into mid-60s at best. Since Bears hybernate in the winter this is for the best because they better keep fattening up now before coming back to earth. I didn’t get to watch the last one but I listened to the first half and the offense sounded pathetic again. hopefully one of these days they can play a complete game and not worry about last second heroics, which are much harder against non-basement dwellers like Vegas, NYG, Cincy and Washington. Chicago is a 2.5 point dog as they ease into the tough part of the schedule. JJM is back at the helm for the Vikings and coming off a bad game. Caleb is probably going to need to do more in this game than he did in his last one because there will be points scored against the Bears.
  20. I want a comprehensive review of dudes fired after losing to the Bears
  21. Yeah, rookie receivers who aren’t top of the first round picks rarely step right into a regular role. Burden seems to be getting a fair introduction to nfl status
  22. I really had to think hard about who Ozz was. I’m not sure I’d classify it as “taking over” from an afterthought of a signing that never stood a chance to be a featured player. I guess he held down a spot for a few weeks but the 2nd rounder was always going to take center stage
  23. They’ve barely squeaked out wins against some really bad teams, I don’t think they are good enough to have any auto-win 3 more wins are certainly on the table and achievable. But they need to bury bad teams
  24. 3-2-1 seems like better than could have reasonably expected, imo. Bedard breaking out. 20 goals scored for a team that came into season not knowing where goals would come from. This is beyond what anybody hoped for
