    I really don’t think it’s a luxury to pick the best receiver in the draft, or the best of any skill position player. High end talent is valuable. The lines can be improved with a bunch of depth picks in the 2nd and 3rd round. No, they probably won’t get a great player there, but just finding decent pieces would be an upgrade. Then you still have a lot of picks in 2024 to upgrade the lines.

    No, the guy that won defensive rookie of the year. he’s missed a ton of time with injuries and that is a big part of the reason his option wasn’t picked up. If he shows himself to be a solid player this year he’ll make a ton of money. If he struggles he may be done with football. It’s a hard needle to thread to bring this guy in for 2024.

    They already have a much better than iffy receiver corps. They have a decent enough tight end. Another target or two won’t hurt but it’s a pretty decent group now with Moore pushing Mooney and everyone else down a slot. They can afford to spend those first four picks on either D or O. they do need new offensive line help

    Au contraire, they won one with Jim McMahon and made it to another with Rex Grossman. If they had actual HOF caliber qb play they’d have won a half dozen.

    I think id take supreme ability at a specific tackle spot over versatility in the first round. You can fill in versatile tackles whenever, but a 10 year starter is the ideal.

    I’d rather my team be ruthless with decisions involving crappy veterans than appease them with the hopes that other aging veterans might one day sign with the team because they can expect to be given a long leash.
