  1. Levine said on Waddle and Silvy the other day that the majority of his information comes from other teams. Sounds like there are little to no sources inside the front office nowadays, a major change from the Hendry regime. As I said earlier, Levine has no inside information whatsoever. Feel free to disagree with me davell but you'll be hard-pressed to find any information out of Levine that isn't a) pure speculation on his part -- or-- b) not widely known by anything that follows the team to any extent. If you choose to continue to suckle from the Levine teet, be my guest. Uh, at what point did I say Levine has inside info at this point? I'm guessing he's confused davell with david
  2. this is the weirdest post i've ever seen the weirdest part to me is that it was written a month and a half after the first part of the bizarre conversation by somebody who posts multiple times a day.
  3. Yeah this is a bummer. Trying to plan a trip to the 'Peg for a Saturday game early in the year. But I doubt those first few weeks will be played. I would be stunned if they don't resolve it, Don Fehr and all. Critically important for both sides to get it done. Can't have another labor dispute already. I'm not listening to a rapist
  4. Peter Gammons gets everything first, but then he forgets before reporting on it.
  5. I don't understand what is so hypocritical, or why people have a problem with what they did. They knew he cheated and was easily bustable, so they had him busted. If he was so stupid to openly cheat with one team and then pull the same stuff while facing them, that's his problem. Hypocracy: "It's ok when you do it for me, but not ok when you do it for anyone else." What Washington did is the very definition of the word. Should Peralta have cheated? Absolutely not. Does he deserve the suspension he's about to receive? Absolutely yes. But Washington letting him get away with it for them, but then busting him as soon as he does it against them was crappy. If they were ok with it then, they should be ok with it now. End of story. I don't know what hypocracy is but that's not the definition of hypocrisy. Why should a team be ok with a player cheating against them? If you are a cheater you are best off not letting anybody know, on your team or other teams, because odds are you will not all be on the same team for your entire career.

  7. Chris Kuc ‏@ChrisKuc Take the release of the NHL's and #Blackhawks' regular-season schedule with a grain of salt. Labor strife looming.
  8. http://filmdrunk.uproxx.com/2012/06/bill-murray-minor-league-baseball-hall-of-fame bill murray inducted into minor league baseball hall of fame. SB nation put together a pretty cool video
  9. http://www.nhl.com/ice/schedulebyseason.htm?team=chi Chris Kuc ‏@ChrisKuc The #Blackhawks will have three six-game road trips this season. Chris Kuc ‏@ChrisKuc #Blackhawks scheduled to open regular season Oct. 13 vs. the Blue Jackets at the United Center.

  12. How do you tweak fat? by doing the truffle shuffle without stretching?
  13. I think David posted about this last page... Any word on what happened? deadspin brought it up and mentioned he suffers from migraines. he's being evaluated
  14. Ryan Howard could very well be worthless. His last two healthy seasons were nothing special and he's probably only going to keep getting worse. Utley could still have a little left in the tank. But at his age you can't expect much more for a middle infielder.
  15. If there was much to the notion that you can carry over a streak, hot or cold, from the minors to the majors then it would be worth keeping that in mind. However, I have doubts about the notion that you can actually "maximize" a player's chance of success by calling him up during a hot streak.
  16. Uhhhhh He provided the link because of the little radio tidbit where Wilbon talked about what his sources have said.

  18. Maybe Reinsdorf will reconsider forcing his buddy to maintain the home and home.
  19. .@BoiseHawks announce C Lance Rymel, C Chadd Krist, IF Stephen Bruno and P Joe Zeller added to roster. C Justin Marra to Mesa.
  20. Hamilton has a shot to stick at short, which already gives him a leg up on Campana. He also doesn't pound the ball into the ground as much as Campana (who has had GB% numbers in the high 50's/low 60's whereas Hamilton is around the 50% mark). I'm not sure if Hamilton has that much more "real" power over Campana, but he's probably more of an offensive threat than Campana, and Campana's speed, which is plus, is not close to Hamilton's speed, which is plus-plus ... and hell, you can probably throw another plus in there for emphasis. Am I the only one who is reading that Hamilton/Campana comment as more of a knock against those Cubs fans who think so highly of Campana rather than an actual comparison of the players?
  21. NHL mock draft http://insider.espn.go.com/nhl/story/_/id/8071205/2012-nhl-draft-edmonton-oilers-go-ryan-murray-final-mock-draft 18. Chicago BlackhawksBrady Skjei, U.S. National Team Development Program (USHL) Skjei's size and skating are so attractive that the Hawks will not be able to pass on him. Playing for the U.S. national developmental team -- based in Ann Arbor, Michigan -- puts him in the backyard of Chicago's head scout and you can bet he's gotten plenty of viewings. The more you watch Skjei, the more you realize what he has is natural.
  22. Well, nobody is parking in front of other people's driveways.
  23. I think your interpretation of the posts on this board are a little off. Yeah, there's only like 2-3 guys pissing themselves. Certainly not "everyone", but it is enough to make it smell like a subway stop.
