You can't be serious. Surely the part about it being one of the worst Cubs teams can't be argued, but to blame Jed Hoyer for that is nonsense. Who am I supposed to blame? Virtually all of the bad players were put on the roster by him. I mean, I could have blamed Theo Epstein, but I feel bad that Jed never gets any recognition for being the GM. You are looking at one season at face value without any regard for the long term plan. If the goal was to put a team on the field that could possibly reach .500, then Epstein and Hoyer failed. If the goal was to start building a championship team, then it is way too early to make any judgements. I don't think anyone is happy with how this season turned out, but to assign blame to the new administration at this point is just silly. You don't get to choose to take a dive on a season without accepting the blame for the results of that dive. He can stick to whatever longterm plan he wants, but he takes blame for the crappy team he puts out there in the interim.
