    Yep- graduated in 2004.

    Zito's having his best month of the season right now. In June and July he was simply awful: June 5.60 ERA, .858 OPSa July 7.82 ERA, .929 OPSa But in his 4 starts in August, he has a 2.92 ERA and a .678 OPSa. And of course he's left-handed. So I'm expecting 7 innings, 3 hits, 6 Ks and 1 BB vs. the Cobs.

    Maybin with his first ML hit (grounder through the right side on a H&R). Back to the hair thing (might as well pass the time until 3:55 somehow), I haven't lost any hair since that initial spurt in adolescence - I'm 25 - but all of my older siblings and father had heads of complete white by 45. I don't mean grey mind you- I'm talking snow white. I'm going to have some serious hair dye expenses in a few years if I don't wish to live out a Steve Martin impersonation for the better part of 40+ years...

    That 4-game series the Crew have @ATL will be huge. With the Braves' rotation of Smoltz/Hudson/pray for rain, I can't say I'm confident the Braves can take 3, not with Milwaukee's lineup. Hope I'm wrong.

    I really doubt Hendry is at fault for this one. Seems as though they were close to agreeing upon something in the 5/85 or 5/90 range back in April, then all of a sudden it's caput. I have to believe the ownership situation played a factor in the Cobs not putting the pen to paper on this one, as both sides still seem keen to get this thing done per the discussed terms.

    As someone else said, the fact that Murton (and Jones) is hitting exceptionally right now makes this move even more indefensible, if in the works. Murton has a higher OPS for the year than Sori does (sample size, of course) and has played more than adequately in left the past week.
