  1. Because spending a lot of money on the best hitter in baseball is such a Hendry move, and we have moved past those days.
  2. I was at this game and it was awesome.
  3. His prediction system is interesting. I like how the predicted scores show Wichita St. as going 25-2, but then he projects them to actually go 20-7. Hope they can win those close games and win closer to 25 than 20. http://kenpom.com/team.php?team=Wichita%20St.
  4. I feel like Venables name comes up a lot, but nothing ever comes of it.
  5. If they fire TG, who would KU fans like to see the Hawks go after?
  6. I love listening to Hawks games on the radio when they are playing well.
  7. Ya, make fun of the team that was picked to win like 5 games this year because you still have sour grapes over last week. K-State has been smoke and mirrors all year, and it's been awesome. They could still very possibly win 9 games this year, and that is incredible with the team they have. i think he's making fun of them because his team beat them by 40 points. And if you just look at the game on paper, especially pre-season, and based on the same K-State team from last year, that result was to be expected. I don't think K-State is good but what is the point of trashing an average team? Obviously they aren't a top 10 team but they also hadn't lost yet, so I guess the Big 12 just sucks outside of OU and OSU (and it really does).

  9. If he is healthy and the right price, then absolutely.
  10. Sign him and Pujols. Lefty/righty platoon, amiright?!
  11. I could see it, but I think it would be a mistake. The Cubs remain starved for 1B in the system and there are two great ones available who are on division rivals. This type of player doesn't become available every year, and most of the time when they do, the two biggest spenders, Boston and NYY are much more likely to get those players. An improved system should also lessen the negative impact of a decline by either player 5-6 years from now. I don't think it would be a mistake at all. I don't think either Pujols or Fielder are good choices to give huge long contracts to. That's a Jim Hendry move. No and no. To meatballs, Soriano = Pujols. Don't spend money on the best player in baseball because our idiot previous GM overpaid for an above average (at the time) player. If you can sign one of those guys, it is worth it.
  12. And another lost KU fumble.
  13. This has been quite fun to watch.
  14. That guy used to work in Des Moines and he would post on an Iowa Hawkeyes message board. He was pretty dumb. I can't listen at the moment, is it Matt Perrault? If so, he's douche of the highest order. I thought Matty P was still working in Omaha covering Creighton? Screw that guy. Go Shocks.
  15. This dude on facebook is always ripping on Ricketts for no reason. So after each of his recent good moves: firing Hendry, draft spending, and now this, I make sure to tag him in my posts, raising awareness of Ricketts awesomeness. When I linked the article about Theo today, his response was this - "Yea!yea!yea! First move: restore sandburgs dignity." Meatball.
  16. He doesn't, imo. And that's why what he does is so astonishing. MU has more talent than them, and it's not close. Snyder does seem to get his pick of JUCOs and transfers though, and his success rate there is pretty amazing. KU has about a 3% success rate with JUCO players. I swear, almost all of them produce for BS. Snyder has built and sustained the programs success through JUCOs and transfers. It's like the exact opposite way of how a person would think to build a successful program, but it works. They don't have an actual QB and they are undefeated. Crazy
  17. KState wins ugly again. Defense is fun.
  18. That game was awesome. It's fun to have a decent Cats team to root for.
  19. He was only .500 on the year. Your kidding, right? I'm pretty sure he is. He's giving the reasoning why the average meathead Cubs fan would only give Garza a C or D on the year. Yes, I'm kidding.
  20. He was only .500 on the year.
  21. However, 96% agree that Grabow sucks, so at least they got that right.
  22. http://espn.go.com/chicago/takeortrash?id=7033211 You can vote for how you feel players performed on the year, grading scale A-F. I'm pretty sure every idiot Cubs fan found this poll because: 1. An overwhelming majority think that Koyie Hill's performance was worthy of a C (49%) 2. 92% think that Barney was an A or a B. 3. 71% think that Garza was a C or D. 4. The majority of people (47%) thought that Byrd was a B. Byrd sucked.
  23. Ya, but Moises was looking up on a play at the wall, and he never did that. He was definitely going to catch it.
  24. (Refs confused by Bears awesome play) Um, that was a really weird play. The Bears had to do something illegal there, right? Ya, I think so. There is a #21 on their return team. Let's call a hold on that guy.
