Living with a Broncos fan, who was rooting for the Tebow pick because he is a "winner", and annoyingly has been talking about how good he will be in the NFL, I can't get behind this statement.
I was, then I moved from Kansas to Seattle. :-( This confuses me... Seattle is gorgeous and Kansas is, well, Kansas. Will be exciting to see a Cubs game in KC for the first time since the Sosa-era.
Does Chirinos' have a realistic chance at being a catcher for the Cubs at any point in the future? He's 26, which is old for AA but he has shown some pretty good plate discipline throughout his career and is hitting for more power...
I've watched him over there a few games. He can catch balls thrown to him. I don't know if I've ever seen him dig a throw out of the dirt. He usually misses them. I'd say his defense would really frustrate us, after having DLee over there for so long.
Good to see the back-up getting a start. Hill needed a day off. I'm sure he'll be back in after Soto is slated to come up in a key situation and Lou needs to go to his bench. So he can lay down a sac bunt. Or come in in the 8th to show off his super defensive skills.
I'm guessing that he is connecting those 3 straight wins with the fact that he has called them "Idiots" in 3 straight games. Yes. And besides, we're still under .500. That alone deserves "idiot" status. Yep.
Seconded I don't know. Tracy needs at bats too. Plus Nady hasn't hit a ball solid in two weeks is seems like. Which is exactly why Nady needs to play. Lee needs a day off and Nady is not going to break out of his slump without getting any AB's. Nady has a history of being a solid hitter, while Tracy doesn't.
