  1. Freaking Marshall had to screw up the collaboration. And the Cubs not scoring, also.
  2. Right down the middle. Good thing it didn't matter.
  3. Agreed. We would have nothing to lose by signing him. Sure we would. It may mean that Hendrys boy toy Shark would be sent to AAA where he belongs(well he belongs out of baseball but whatever). I'm hoping that Shark gets sent down with Ted's activation today...but Hendry sure loves Shark so who knows.
  4. It looks like he, or the guys coming in after him, have really been able to work out of trouble so far this year. His ERA isn't bad at 3.38 but his WHIP is 2.4 on 9 hits and 4 walks in 5.1 innings. If he could get his command under control, which would also probably lead him to not throw so many hittable pitches, then he could return to being a decent reliever.
  5. Demp has no feel for the strike zone so far.
  6. I really like that lineup. We will still only score 2 runs, but it's a good lineup.
  7. does WGNA HD even exist? yea, UVerse has it I get it on Dish Network in Texas. I get it on Cox Cable in Kansas.
  8. I've seen this hat and really like it because it doesn't look stupid like those new "fashion" hats and it has the '84 old school feel to it. Don't know how I feel about dropping $35 on it, though.
  9. And he didn't, did he? I was trying to catch lightning in a bottle.
  10. Why does Nady even bother bringing a bat to the plate? It's not like he's going to be able to do anything with it anyway.
  11. Who is the owner of that glorious beard in your sig? Jayson Werth?
  12. Agree. Hopefully if one of those two are bad, which is likely, then Lou will be smart enough to move Marshall to the rotation.
  13. Yes. I would love for all these teams to keep losing. And tomorrow I would like San Diego St, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Illinois, Ga Tech, Tulsa, Rhode Island, and Dayton to lose as well. That might just open up a bid for Wichita St. A guy can dream, can't he? :D) Thank you for our coach, by the way. You're welcome. I loved Turg and still root for him but I wouldn't trade him for Marshall.
  14. The Oregon St - Washington game was one of the ugliest games I have ever watched. The Pac-10 is awful.......

  16. I read an article the other day that said Z had lost around 15 pounds this offseason. It said that he was more focused on building core strength to help prevent injuries this season.
  17. This is the second place that has predicted us to sign Billy Wagner. I don't know how I feel about that. If he is still throwing hard, and could be picked up relatively cheap then it wouldn't be a bad signing.
  18. I don't think Miles will be taking much PT from the Fontenot/Baker platoon. Now he might be in at SS tonight with Theriot's bruise on his arm. I'm so glad that our back-up shortstop couldn't even OPS .600 at AAA. This is going to be the shot in the arm that this team needed!
  19. Don't be sad. If you want a delicious sub in Kansas you should just go to Mr. Goodcents. That would be my vote. The Penny Club with the stardard press, spicy mustard and mayo. You're set. I'm intrigued. What meats are in the Penny Club and what's a standard press? I must investigate. Well, the Penny Club is a turkey, ham, and roast beef sub. There are different types of subs that go along with the change (Goodcents) theme. The typical standard press is lettuce, tomato, onion, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper and oregano. You can add on or subtract whatever you would like, but I like being able to say that I want the Penny with the Standard. One of the nice things about the place is that their meat is fresh (compared to your typical Subway or Quiznos type place), where the meat is just sitting out. When you order your sub, they freshly slice your meats and cheeses. They have kept up with the bigger chains by offering a $5 dollar footlong sub, but their typical sizes are 8 in. and 16 in. I've been going there for years and it is definitely my favorite sub place, for the food and value, around here.

  21. Didn't Marshall throw a rain-shortened CG already this year?
  22. If I could throw nearly 100 mph, I would throw a fastball more often.
  23. Coors is a great place to watch a game. One of my favorite things about the stadium is all the people who stand outside it and sell you really cheap food (peanuts, drinks, candy). They let you bring it into the stadium with you and you save a lot on the concessions.
