    In the clips I've seen, Bowden has a funky motion, works in the low-to-mid 90s, and has a decent slider. Sveum also mentioned an effective split-finger. I'm kind of excited to see if he can make something of himself with this new opportunity.

    Volstad is struggling with his control a little bit. Glad that he is striking guys out, though.

    i certainly wasn't blown away by rice when i saw him. I've seen him when they've played Wichita St. Strong with the ball, can get to the rack and draw fouls. He has an OK mid-range game, but in general, he is not a very good shooter and a really bad 3-pt shooter.
