    I know gameday isn't accurate at all, but those first two balls to Pierre looked REALLY good on it.

    He's putting up awesome numbers, but that still doesn't guarantee success at the major league level. I'm not trying to argue that Fox will be unproductive, but Hoff is currently putting up a .929 OPS in the majors and is the better bet to produce now - which appears to be Lou's goal. I agree fully, but I just want to give him the chance if all were sacrificing is a player we really dont need anyway and if it comes down to it can be easily replaced. I'd love to give him a chance, but he simply can't play defense. It's the same reason I don't like the idea of Soriano to 2B and Hoff to LF, great offense negated somewhat by awful defense. I'd be fine with calling up Fox to come off the bench, but not to start. Again, I agree. So basically Fox and Hoff are Ward and Floyd. Worked in '07. Still, dont tell me theres a part of you that wouldnt like to see that Sori/Hoff/Fox experiment just for a game or 2 vs. a bad team. I was thinking about a Hoff/Fuku/Fox outfield with Sori at 2nd. (Again, against a bad team) just to see what the offense could do. Whats Gary Gaetti up to these days?

    also, keep in mind that it wasn't Hendry who nixed the deal for Peavy. Towers backed out of it at the last second.

    gameday says it's blowing 16mph south. I'm not sure if that means from the north to the south, or from the south to the north?

    I'm sure Hendry feels that he owes Fox for letting Dusty destroy his arm. I like Fox over Ascanio because he, like Smardz needs to work on his secondary pitches too and he's better able to do that in Iowa's rotation. I like Ascanio, I may be the only person who does but I could see him being the late season power arm if Smardz goes to the rotation or can't throw strikes. His arm was destroyed before Dusty. Not saying Dusty didn't help further any damage though.

    It's amusing to me how often I see Tony chirping at the umps when he sees bad calls, and constantly calls Cubs pitchers "head hunters." Shut up and mind your own team.

    I heard they are working on a new invention that could help prevent quad (and muscle) tightness... it's supposed to be called "stretching" or something like that. Personally, I think it sounds like witchcraft or some sort of voodoo...

    I just got BM2k9 and so far I'm liking it. I didn't realize 10 was coming out soon. Oh well... i'll probably just procure it in the same manner.
