    Didn't the Cubs draft Greene and he opted to not sign? Also, Greene would love Chicago, there's a pretty big Baha'i temple nearby.

    I think it will be more difficult for the 2b and SS since they'll be running back into it... at least the CF will be able to run up into it. I say they leave it... and put a flag pole in the middle of it and a moat around it... WITH some sort of dragon or something. Also... since they are lowering the infield, they'll have to remove the pitchers mound/home plate anyways... are the tarps so that they have a landmark or what?

    That made me laugh as well... they also have the bullpen mounds tarped... any reason why? I mean, they are redoing the whole field... is it that much trouble to redo the mound too?

    The two best hitters on both the Indians and Red Sox are absolutely wretched playing First Base though... so if the Indians make it, they'll have a real bad defensive 1b and Catcher to have their best offensive lineup. I don't know how much of an impact that will play though.

    and what better tutelage than to have the actual mariano helping him? I think if the price were right, i'd bite. Coming over to a "weaker" NL could help him out.

    I hope the Cubs can win the WS just for that poor guy's sake. He's been through a whole lot of crap for doing what any of us would have done.

    I believe 4 of the 5 guys on Countdown yesterday picked the Bears to beat the Lions...I wish ESPN would get out of the predictions game. The ESPN "experts" said Griese would NOT turn the ball over. PERIOD! That's why he would be an upgrade over Grossman. I love it when Experts talk... hopefully they are right this time...

    I was ready to post the same comment about Lou's decisions in this series. Murton has really produced in the second half and Lou starts Monroe makes absolutely no sense. All of us have discussed Trachsel ad nauseum. Also, I don't understand any discussion of Kendall starting over Soto for the rest of the season and into the playoffs. I don't think I've seen Kendall throw to 2nd without bouncing it yet. Kendall should be used as a pinch hitter the rest of the way. The umpires certainly didn't have a great series in Florida either. Murton not starting yesterday ticked me off to no end. Monroe is our "specialist" hitting LHP, but since he's come over to the Cubs, he's hitting under .200! (sample size be darned), but Murton has twice as many AB's against LHP than Monroe and is hitting somewhere near .320. So someone please tell me why Monroe was playing?!

    No kidding! I don't think any other hitter has pwn3d Zambrano as much as Dunn has... but I'm too lazy to actually look at stats, so I hereby make it official!

    LOL, I just get this ugly feeling that we're gonna be saddled with the biggest joke of an owner that Selig can hang on us. Tell me you all aren't feeling the same thing. cue the hoff doing "hooked on feelings." I have the same feeling... :x
