  1. It's better than him hitting cleanup.
  2. Z looked better that inning than his line would suggest. Hopefully the Cubs can break through against Cain.
  3. Note to Cubs pitchers: Stop falling behind these Giants hitters and they probably won't hit it.
  4. Does anyone know where to get those "it's gonna happen" shirts? I'm already assuming 75% of the people here hate them, but I like em.
  5. There will be time for the Cubs to gain ground (like when the Brewers play on the road). Or whenever they're playing Arizona and we're playing San Francisco.
  6. It isn't bad managing. Because of Arams leg he must have schedule days off at specfic intervals. I don't really know the specifics, but is that really true? They could just wait four more games?
  7. Wait, wait, Rammy's not hurt? Lou's just sitting him knowing that Lee is out of the lineup? Lou is inexcusably bad at this kind of thing. Bad managing often has predictably bad results.
  8. Jesus, what kind of lineup is that? We can't give Rammy a day off during Lee's suspension.
  9. He's a reliever now? I thought he a guy with ace potential at one point? He still does, but the Royals are idiots. Yes, please tell us about your inside knowledge of the Greinke situation and how the Royals are "idiots" in the matter. I'm not sure what I said that hurt your feelings, but it's a safe assumption that one of the more talented pitchers drafted in recent memory still has that talent at 23 given he's had no major surgeries. It's also a safe assumption that putting a pitcher with that much talent in the bullpen is idiotic. Sorry for running over your cat.
  10. Are you saying he's not?
  11. Losing ground to the Brewers when they're playing the D-Backs and we're playing San Francisco isn't going to cut it.
  12. What a joke. Bad managing and walking these crappy hitters has predictably bad results.
  13. Like I said, bringing Marmol back out was a poor idea.
  14. Atleast with Barrett you would get the occasional home run with Kendall that just is not going to happen. Kendall has two HR this year playing in a very pitcher-friendly park. If he had played the whole season with the Cubs, he'd probably be in double digits now. Absolutely not true.
  15. Marmol looked terrible last inning. I love him as much as Lou apparently does, but it's silly to leave him in after that unimpressive performance.
  16. Current predicament notwithstanding, Marmol has proven everything he needs to. Besides, we already have Scott Eyre. That's as proven as it gets. I think that was sarcasm. ;)
  17. It's going to be a K or a double. I don't see anything else happening.
  18. Marmol definitely doesn't have his good control tonight. Just get Durham... please get Durham.
  19. I haven't been following the game thread until now, but if people are laying that on Kendall, they're being simply ridiculous. short hop on a throw from Soriano. Barrett would have allowed two runs on that play. Neifi would've cut it off and allowed 5.
