Pagan does all the little things that don't show up in the boxscore. He's a gamer. I don't know if you're being serious or making fun of traditional baseball thought, but I agree. He's a valuable member of a 25 man roster, just not as a starter. Cheapseats is sarcastic until further notice apparently. Eh, then I'll take back the "I agree" and stand by the thought that Pagan has a place on a good team's roster.

With all the unimposing white guys that thump in that Brew Crew lineup, I won't feel safe until the Diamondbacks are winning after the bottom of the 9th.

You know there's some special baseball being played when a guy like Jason Kendall gets a standing ovation.

No He did however knock the ball further away from Aurillia after he had already bobbled it. Riot wouldn't have scored if Fontenot hadn't (accidentally) ran into the ball forcing it further down the line.

For real. Earlier in the season there was like 25 page game threads for the whole game. I just took a quick gander back around last August, and the game threads were ranging between 11 and 15 pages. Weren't there a couple of Saturday threads that were 3 or 4 pages in Premium? I don't have premium, but yea I wouldn't be surprised. Only the true gluttons for punishment and unbelievably obsessive stat-heads, Fred, were still around. Most of the rest of us enjoyed not jumping off of tall buildings. Alas, I didn't even start posting here till the Cubs were well out of it last season.

Thanks! I'm going to see the Iowa Cubs this weekend. Maybe Soto won't have such a big head this time around. After watching him play in Iowa he has been a real tough guy to pull for. (Of course, my kids might have caught him on the wrong day last time, and he may be a wonderful person). Story?

Eh, it would be nice to get Eyre replaced. I have no problem with a better right handed reliever taking his place. Eyre isnt really a problem on this team, since hes been relegated to mop up duty. He's not a problem, but if we could get another good arm in the pen for a reasonable price I don't see why we should pass up on it, even with Wood and Dempster coming back. -
I know he's not in the lineup tonight, but Cliff Floyd really seems like the best #2 hitter in our lineup. He clearly doesn't have his power anymore, but he's still getting on base and having nice lengthy at bats.

That I agree with. If the Cubs had to get rid of Barrett to keep Zambrano, I am all for getting rid of Barrett. Sure, but what about next year when we have neither? Because indications are definitely that Z is gonna leave.
