I'm hoping they were just there scouting Dye, not Contreras. Not that I'm wild about either. Another ESPN tidbit about our rotation: And it wouldn't kill them to pick up another starter to take Marquis' place or a lefty specialist to replace Scott Eyre. Does that mean we're actually considering taking Marquis out of the rotation?

Reggie Sanders was dreadful last year. I'm all for staying away. What about David DeJesus? What's his contract like? -
Have there been any published reports about other teams' interest into Kenny Lofton? About ours? I mean, it seems like a no brainer that they'll trade him and quite frankly Jim Hendry would be stupid not to inquire. That said, I've heard nothing about him.

I'm certainly not worried about the Cardinals passing us, but they're worth worrying about considering how often we play them in the second half. If they return to respectability, the could sneak up on us in some games and take critical series.

This is a series the Cubs should absolutely take three out of four in, and one they really need to do so in. Arizona is going to be tough just to take two from, so it would be nice to get to at least five games over before that series. I think we'll take three of four, but I think that one we don't take will be tomorrow. Hope I'm wrong. Don't suck Cubs!

Posada could probably be had for prospects, but I don't see the Yankees dealing Posada. He's one of the classic Yankees from their dynasty.

Lincecum is inconsistent. Cain has been pretty bad. Morris is decent, but should be familiar. Zito has been the worst of them all. Cain has a 122+ ERA and a disappointing but not unacceptable 1.35 WHIP. He hasn't been bad anyway you slice it.
