  1. So who is the real Michael Wuertz? I sure hope it's not the one we've seen the past couple of months.
  2. Wuertz continues to look like complete garbage.
  3. So what the hell has happened to Wuertz? He was untouchable for a while dating back to last year, and now he really can't get through an inning 1-2-3.
  4. if fontenot can get as hot as he was, this team will look tough to beat. the problem being that milwaukee looks pretty tough to beat as well. Who cares? We can't do anything about them. We'll win the WC if we play like we have been. Well, if we continue winning 5 of every 6 we'll certainly win the division as well. That'd be quite an insane pace.
  5. JJ's really looking good right now. How about your first hit and RBI as a Cub, Jason?
  6. And he's warming up! But Billy gets out of it just in time. Wuertz-Marmol-Howry, please.
  7. Petrick's letting the Giants right back into the game. Nice job Billy.
  8. Jesus, how are these Giants batters hanging in? All of them without the first name Barry suck.
  9. The best part of this game is that it will (hopefully) discourage Jimbo from trading for Morris.
  10. The Pierre trade just keeps getting worse!
  11. There shouldn't be. He's been our best player for 3 years. Best position player. I'd argue Big Z as the best Cubs player though during that time period. In 2005, I think Lee has to get some credit. From 2004 to 2006, and thru 2007 so far, Aramis has been far superior. Lee wasn't very good in 2004. How can you argue that? He wasn't a star, but he still had a 114 OPS+ and hit 30+ homers. He didn't get the OBP as high as usual, but I don't think it's fair to say he wasn't very good.
  12. Fontenot's could've easily been another double. Good to see him hitting the snot out of the ball.
  13. Quick side note, is there any competition for A-Ram as far as being the best Cubs trade since Sammy Sosa?
  14. Is that gonna be it for Lilly or is he in for one more?
  15. Lilly's gotta realize how embarrassingly bad this Giants team is. Shut em down Ted.
  16. Cliff Floyd scores on a cross up where Molina can't find the all. 5-3 Cubs
  17. We're putting Pagan in anyway, why not have him pinch run? He almost certainly would have made it to third there.
  18. Looks like we're going to have to use the bench again. No way Cliff survived that.
