  1. Did we trade neifi to the marlins? Nah. Neifi wouldn't have taken the earlier pitches. Nice inning, Guz!
  2. I wasn't able to watch the first, but this is a pretty nice zone for Angel.
  3. It was his left middle finger.
  4. Pierre is on an early pace for 74 strikeouts or so in 162 games.
  5. Pretty much what I was realistically hoping for. That mirrored his recent minor league starts minus the RBI XBHs. Let's hope he settles down by the 3rd like he has at Iowa, as well.
  6. There were doubles available in club box infield last night. I'd be tempted to go if I wasn't going Tuesday.
  7. Kind of off topic - Jon, your sig pic of Guzman at first glance looks like he's crossing his fingers: "Boy I hope I don't get injured again!" The pic was from last spring, so that wouldn't have worked too well.
  8. I wonder how many pitches he'll throw today. If it's under 65 or 60, I'd be surprised if he didn't have two rehab starts instead of just one.
  9. Gametime temp of 60 degrees with a 10 mph wind blowing out to right. Lots of sunshine. Go Angel!
  10. You can get some pretty darn good seats right now. And it's a value game. Hopefully I'll get to see him on the 2nd.
  11. ????? O God not another injury please. He'll likely be sitting tomorrow, anyways, and Thursday is an off-day. Should have plenty of time to heal up if it lingers at all.
  12. Is Dusty expecting Jones to drive it to the outfield?
  13. He's paying a little too close attention to how Maddux pitches. K!
  14. Considering who is pitching and the conditions I support the call. It also puts the Cubs in a position to send Ramirez on a close play since there's already an out. Like I said, you don't want to bunt when you more than likely need two hits to score a run anyways given the speed of the baserunner. Even with the conditions, if there's a smaller chance of the runner on second scoring on a single, it's probably not worth it.
  15. As was pointed out, Aramis isn't the fastest guy out there. If you sac bunt, you want to be pretty sure that the runner can score from second. He did there, but it was close. Giving up an out when you still likely need two singles makes it questionable.
  16. 75% chance he mentions "Bear weather." What are the odds they show this play? I was cleaning some stuff off my server today and oddly enough I watched it a few times.
  17. 75% chance he mentions "Bear weather."
  18. I'm only listening on the radio, but you can't expect a good throw if the runner gets a huge jump. The catcher has to just get it off as quickly as possible and accuracy becomes less of a concern. It's the only way that he has a chance of throwing the runner out.
