  1. Single for EPatt but he's easily thrown at second on the stolen base attempt. Jackson follows with a single.
  2. It's time for some runs in Jackson.
  3. The race discussion has been split to rants.
  4. Pie pops up to short in his second AB.
  5. Pointing out Raisin. He's the tip of the iceberg.
  6. Haha. According to Ron, Tim was headhunting on his pitch (if there was a right-handed batter in the box). Hopefully I'll have some audio later. Pie nearly splits the gap in left-center but still manages to get a leadoff double.
  7. Here's the jersey the Jaxx will be wearing tonight (I think): http://www.diamondjaxx.com/images/news/blue%20jersey.jpg They'll be auctioned off after the game. Good luck, Tim!
  8. Weather.com predicts a gametime temp around 60 degrees, a 15 mph wind blowing in from right or right-to-left, and a 30% chance of rain throughout the game. The chance of rain will increase as the day progresses. Sunday's game is the one to worry about right now. 60-70% chance of rain before the game and a 50-70% chance during the game. 20 mph wind blowing from right-to-left, as well. Here's the radar (it will update automatically): http://image.weather.com/web/radar/us_ord_closeradar_medium_usen.jpg
  9. I'm pretty sure they said it was, although I didn't see it on the TV. I think it was a 3-1 pitch and Jones swung and missed.
  10. Yes. How are those wings? Doug Davis has been pretty bad this season (7.66 ERA, 1.95 WHIP), though. Of course, he owns the Cubs. On the plus side, we've seen a lot of lefties in the past week.
  11. Nice job, Scott. And a good win. Now let's hope the rain stays away this weekend.
  12. Thanks for the good news!
  13. Smaller strike zone (for this AB), please.
  14. With the workhorse Eyre around to face lefties, I doubt he'll be around much longer. Eyre's the setup man, though. We'd still need a LOOGY. I'll take a very good righthanded pitcher to face lefties over Will Ohman to face anybody. No specific names in mind, but it warrants mentioning. Ohman may not have looked good so far, but he's only thrown 5 IP. He had a 2.91 ERA last season and a .590 OPS against lefties. It's way to soon to give up on him.
  15. I'm fine with it getting ruled a CS because being able to slide effectively is part of the base stealing attempt. It's not a real CS for the catcher, but the runner doesn't deserve credit for the SB.
  16. With the workhorse Eyre around to face lefties, I doubt he'll be around much longer. Eyre's the setup man, though. We'd still need a LOOGY.
  17. Shaky but effective. Insurance runs, please. Can anyone confirm that Ohman is indeed still alive? He's gone a week without pitching.
  18. Well Blanco just batted, and he can't replace him cuz of Barrett, and he's sure as heck not gonna replace Neifi...cuz he's Neifi. And if you go back any farther Dusty get confuzzled. Jones has two hits. Should've brought in Mabry. "You can hear Ron rehearsing in the background...either that or a baby seal is on the loose."
  19. Hey, Howry comes in without a double switch
  20. I'm guessing that's all for Greg. Good job. Didn't exactly look his best, but 2 runs in 6 IP is just fine for me.
