    Just popped up on Roto Cubs acquired LHP Hunter Cervenka from the Red Sox to complete the Marlon Byrd trade. Cervenka, 22, has an 8.04 ERA over nine relief appearances with Class A Greenville this year and has averaged 7.2 BB/9 over parts of four seasons in the minors. He's very much a project, but Theo Epstein and Jed Hoyer are obviously fans of him.

    Roto Update Updating a previous item, Alfonso Soriano is getting the day off Wednesday due to a sore knee. Cubs manager Dale Sveum isn't sure which knee it is, but it sounds like a day-to-day situation either way. Adrian Cardenas will make the start in left field Wednesday.

    Pretty much had that feeling once Wood was in that he was gonna blow it. They just need to cut ties with him already. they're paying him to be team mascot.
