  1. Shoots down report of Dodgers interested in Lee 1:00pm: The Dodgers are not in on Lee, hears Jon Heyman of CBS Sports. The Rangers consider Lee a long shot.
  2. Man, if Theo could unload Soriano with Dempster and get us a pretty decent return, Theo would be a miracle worker.
  3. So far today and all of yesterday are very quiet on the Cubs trading front..Good or bad sign?
  4. Damn to working Sunday at 6 AM..Something needs to happen today! Make some moves HoyerStein!
  5. Maybe after that last offer the Dodgers declined for one prospect straight up, little Dempy got all bitter and hurt the Dodgers didn't have the same love and want as he did for them so now he's open to other teams.
  6. I don't get it. We already HAD a deal in place with them. Now they'd tell us to screw off if we asked for Delgado again. This has to be some type of piece to try to salvage his reputation since he figured out the fans and organization are pissed off at him. All of a sudden he's open to about several teams...
  7. WTF is going on?? CHICAGO -- The Los Angeles Dodgers are not the only team Chicago Cubs pitcher Ryan Dempster would accept a trade to, according to a source familiar with the situation. Dempster will consider a number of teams, including the Atlanta Braves and Dodgers, if the Cubs come to him with a deal in place, the source said. "He has not said that he wouldn't go to Atlanta or anywhere else for that matter," the source said. "He wants to take his time and has earned the right to wait on approving a deal having his 10-5 rights." http://espn.go.com/chicago/mlb/story/_/id/8206379/2012-mlb-trade-deadline-source-ryan-dempster-open-more-los-angeles-dodgers
  8. [expletive] perfect. Love you Rizzo.
  9. Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com reports that the Dodgers "still want to add a bat" and have some interest in Justin Morneau. Take Dempster and Soriano/LaHair and give us something reasonable damnit! And as soon as I post that, Roto post this Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com reports that that Dodgers and Cubs have had discussions about including Alfonso Soriano or Bryan LaHair in a potential Ryan Dempster deal. It's unlikely to happen, though, with Knobler being told by one person briefed on the discussions that the inclusion of either hitter would be a "massive longshot." The Cubs are desperate to send Dempster to the Dodgers, as they might be the only team he's approved a trade to, but it doesn't appear that the Dodgers are willing to budge on what they'll give up.
  10. "[expletive], WHY AM I STUCK WITH THIS TALENTED PITCHER?!?! OH, WOE IS ME." You're kidding yourself if you think he's not pissed about this turn of events. They were shopping him around because they wanted to, and now those efforts have been severely hindered. Exactly. I was mostly implying the whole Dempster ordeal which reported he was " furious" and " livid", but you know they were shopping Garza around looking for a huge haul with the extra year of control he had and now that's taken a huge hit.
  11. Theo is probably slamming the bottle of Jack in desk pretty hard right now. Seems like no moves are going to happen before the deadline with how everything is going.
  12. lol. The whole Dempster saga and now this. When it rains, it [expletive] pours. It's like a bad dream right now.
  13. Hal lel [expletive] lujah. Thank God Hendry is gone. At this point I'd rather make Demp suffer staying here, it's obviously the best punishment.  Should be interesting if he ends up staying since he just made himself public enemy #1
  14. At this point are the Braves even going to want him if he last minute chooses to go? I can see them going " Oh , so now your going to settle for us when you don't really want to be here and the only reason is because the Dodgers don't want you? Go [expletive] yourself."
  15. Theo could probably throw a bag of kittens into a wood chipper at this point. Holy [expletive]. End this misery already.
  16. God damn you Dempster. The Dodgers know they have the Cubs by the balls. Good job crying how you only yearn and desire the Dodgers.
  17. So is this going down tonight sometime or is Dempster gonna think about it for another week, gather his thoughts while he takes his plane ride today or whatever the hell he told the Tribune?
  18. I would love to be in the FO and see what's going on with all this being how hectic it is. I'm sure there's a ton of obscenities being tossed around with the majority towards Dempster since he royally pissed off his bosses. Give's them the OK to Atlanta to get a huge return and then veto's it. Hoyerstein can't be happy one bit.
  19. Doug Padilla says Ryan Dempster has arrived in the Cubs’ clubhouse, and adds this: “Deal w Braves looks to be dying on the vine.”
  20. ESPN's Jayson Stark was told by a source that the status of the Ryan Dempster-to-Atlanta deal should be resolved "shortly."
  21. Roto saying he wants to go to LA since it's closer to his home in Vancouver.
  22. I will say that this side of the argument is looking much more ridiculous right now. Just frustration boiling over from the [expletive] tease yesterday wanting this to get done.
  23. I feel blindsided by your tweet yesterday Dempster. I now need 24 hours because of this. It's pretty funny how he's all hurt and bent out of shape because Theo didn't call him into the office first and give him a back rub and tell him how much they're gonna miss him and his impersonations and how hard it's gonna be without him. Theo talked to his ass 2 months ago about this and Dempster even said he'd love to join Atlanta. Man the [expletive] up already. Theo is all business and wants to make the club better and ready to strike deals in a moments notice. He's not Jim Hendry trying to be your best buddy and hold your hand.
