    Unless they do something insane again and hire a Canadian football league guy whose brain is melting out of his ears, I’ll be back and optimistic for 2025. Because what else can I do? I’m a Bears fan.

    it hit me how insane it is this team is worse than the 2023 Bears. We're talking about upgrading pretty much every positional group (QB, RB, WR, OL (?), having consistency at coaching (lmao), upgrading (lmaoooooo) at Offensive Coordinator, having a full season of Montez Sweat (remember him? I don't) and having all the good vibes of the offseason and.....they're significantly worse than the mediocre ass 2023 Bears who started 0-4 and who's QB knew he was likely losing his job for the last month of the season. HOW? How are you worse than that moribund team? It's almost impossible. And yet they're *Significantly* worse than the 2023 Bears.

    us agreeing that Poles should be fired means nothing. Probably over 80% of the City of Chicago wanted Eberflus fired after last year, and they kept his dumb ass. I'd say its quite likely Poles stays another season.

    This season has sucked, hard. Everything has gone just about as bad as it could have, aside from Caleb. (Who’s been up and down but has still shown enough for me to feel very good and optimistic). Of course, I’ll be feeling back and ready for football by next September. Almost no matter what happens, it’ll be very hard for them to screw up the offseason to the point where I’m not feeling better about where the team is currently. So it goes. im mostly just annoyed they wasted another year of my rooting life.

    Caleb’s a Dude. Everything can be fixed quickly if you have your QB. But there’s a ton they gotta do. And Poles has not shown he knows how to hire a coach or draft a lineman, which are the most pressing needs. I bet Poles gets another year, but if he fucks this up it unfortunately dooms SEVERAL of Caleb’s peak, cheap years. Which isn’t ideal.

    Just turned on the game to see the Bears surrender on their own third down and do nothing against the Seahawks 3rd down, I despise sports and I hate the bears

    If Daniels ends up better than Caleb but Caleb is still a great QB, oh well. I won’t cry over it, who cares. We got a great QB. Scouting professional quarterbacks is probably the hardest least understood position in all of sports (maybe pitchers are harder, but it’s a very hard comparison to make between sports), and I still wouldn’t consider it a miss. I’m still concerned about Daniels’s body type lasting well over a career. Williams has been shockingly durable in a season where’s he’s taken more hits than one would like. Knock on wood.
