Yeah, honestly, if you have a daily podcast I'm not sure why they need a dedicated Bears podcast as well, there's only so much sports news that comes out every day and as well know, Chicago is a football town. Once football season starts the main appetite for sports content is Bears related. So they're gonna be doing a lot of redundant commentary. Hell, the Cubs have been contenders all season long and they are still a smaller fraction of the Score material than the Bears have been through training camp. As far as the live vs. podcast thing... I get the impression they're recording these the morning they're released? Which is a pretty darn fast turnaround and is close enough to live events that it will be pretty up to date.

i'm taking it as a given the defense will be mediocre to bad we're on year 3 or 4 of me being like 'i dont care if the defense is bad, just show improvement on the offense' and each time it doesn't improve. 🤷♂️

Very annoying that this team is doing this immediately after a rare sweep on the road and also holding leads in both of these games

PCA may drive me nuts from time to time with some TOOTBLANs but his speed and aggressiveness also results in runs that otherwise wouldn't have happened, so you take the bad with the good

So Tyler Scott is a roster cut then as well I assume? I have to say I like the WR and TE corps quite a bit. Wish we had a starting RB I liked a little more to hit the hole hard, but I also have confidence in Johnson’s judgment on the running game.

Zacch Pickens was cut. One of Poles's higher picks from 2 years ago and a bust. That's not great for Poles's evaluation quality.

That was a magical run by Arrieta. I almost feel like he exhausted all his physical talent in that ~2 year stretch to will the Cubs to a World Series and then his career was more or less over (it wasn’t but he never reached anything close to those highs and those Phillies years, woof)

I have to say, I enjoyed hearing Matt Abbattacola’s voice again. The best stretch of Boers and Bernstein was when he was their producer and he was constantly to giving Dan attitude. Didn’t realize he had a breakdown of his own and got completely out of the radio business for like 10 years.

Oh he was quite open that he fully accepts he was in the wrong and deserved to be fired. He just wanted to explain what happened from his perspective.

Listened to the first half of Bernstein and Matt Abbattacola's show, Dan goes over what happened with him getting kicked off the Score. Sounds like social media (particularly twitter) hooked itself into his own particular mental health struggles and he really lost his mind there for a bit. And well, thats not an isolated case. Dunno if I'll listen much further but was curious about what his side of the story was.
