Our position players are having insanely good seasons - so much so that someone like Dansby Swanson, a hitting shortstop, itself a rare commodity in the league, is the player we grouch about the most and he has a 109 OPS+
I also tend to downplay how offensively impressive a season we're having because I came of age during the "Steroid" Era and a period of baseball that was a much friendlier run environment. When I was a wee lad an .800 OPS was about a 100 OPS+ and I find it upsetting that a .700 OPS can be above average.
