  1. Not a great game overall - taken together definitely a step or half step backwards from last game - but winning makes a huge difference. Let us hope this has the reverse effect the Fail Mary had on us last year: let winning become contagious, let it be part of “momentum”, fitting that they face Washington again (after a bye, no less!) right now. The offense was a mess for much of the game, but came through at the end when it mattered. The defense was even worse - like last week they’ve been completely saved by some timely ball hawking, which is nice but not something that can be depended on week-in-week-out. still - it’s all very good to stack wins when you can get them and continue to build Caleb’s confidence and ability to produce under adversity. Odunze continues his rise to stardom. Hopefully we can get Loveland soon because DAMN, Kmet had an awful game. I’m still in search of a running back, Swift’s heroics at the end notwithstanding, Clean it up. Luckily you have two weeks to try.
  2. Lmao it’s incredible they’ve even bothered to throw the ball at all this defense is TERRIBLE against the run
  3. Fully prepared for the 8 play 79 yard drive where they just hand to Jeanty and score a TD
  4. Good lord. It’s just a comedy of errors here. I’m so tired of it
  5. Bears are just not allowed nice things
  6. Defense sees the offense doing something useful and says “not so fast horsefeatherss”
  7. Odunze coming into his own has been one of the few, clear, good things happening on this team
  8. The Raiders are doing everything they can to lose but goddamn the Bears don’t want it
  9. No matter who is the coach, who is the GM, who is the QB… Bears football always has to look like this were never allowed to just have a normal regular NFL experience. It has to be a horrifically clunky, painful, garbage experience. I’m frankly furious
  10. Oh my god this team is just terrible. That was laughable
  11. It is insane, barring on almost impossible, to be this bad offensively. Stop it
  12. CAN THEY STOP RUNNJNG THE BALL PLEASE
  13. Bears apparently have zero answer for Maxx Crosby? That’s not great
  14. Ok it was definitely a fools errand to expect the Browns to dominate the Packers and Lions in successive weeks. We need to just count our blessings that they embarrassed the Packers.
  15. Vikings are going to have some problems no matter how good the rest of the roster is and how good the coaching is, if they can't find a decent QB to run the whole thing
  16. I’m just glad that there will be no public funds spent on this thing. It never ends up paying off for the states/municipalities or the taxpayers. Let the billionaires fund their billion dollar stadiums.
  17. If Caleb ends up as even a pretty above average Qb for 8-10 years in Chicago he’ll be beloved for all time here, so he has that going for him
  18. Hope the Bears can take care of business and get back to .500. Despite the fact I don’t think super highly of the Raiders roster, this Bears squad is really a work in progress and are going on the road. It’d be super nice for Johnson and Williams to reach .500, get a little heat off their backs, get breathing room to let the developmental process continue. Hopefully the team can hover around .500 and be a competitive team through most of the season because honestly at this point what I want is for people to just give them time. The breathless denunciations and proclamations after two games was too much - let this process play out. See where things are at by the end of season. There are a lot of good things in motion, alongside things that are potentially worrying. Deep breaths.
  19. Oh and please dear god find an NFL quality running back. Swift just ain’t it on early downs, and it causes me physical pain
  20. Nice W. It’s gonna be a tough, up and down season I expect, so savor these. They’re on the right track. its too bad the defense is a complete dumpster fire (they played well today but there just isn’t enough talent and pass rush on it left to be a very strong unit) but things are reaalllly starting to click offensively. You love to see it.
  21. Lots of game left for the Bears to lose this (and boy howdy I know they would love to) but I feel vindicated in telling basically everyone on this board to chill out and give Ben Johnson some time to install his offense It was always going to take time and flipping out over the first two games was overkill
  22. So the Bears are like, monumentally bad, like so bad we may be the worst team in the league huh. dont love that watched some footage of the Vikings and I feel vindicated on my McCarthy read (he’s terrible) but it just indicates that the Bears are unbelievably worse than expected. Cool
  23. i'm going to remain patient until at least midseason but man. I have waited my entire life for Bears Offensive Competence, and I fear I will never see it. Not once in my life.
