  1. i dont like tipping my cap to bad pitchers, argh pixie dust blah blah blah i hate the cardinals so much
  2. is this the place where i can vainly complain about how pathetic the Cubs offense has looked today?
  3. Marmol yes, but I disagree with Guz. If Guzman were to swap roles with Gregg immediately what do you think the net benefit would be over the course of the season? Its a false alternative anyway, theres no way Lou would put anyone in the closers role than Marmol, so we can talk about it but nothing will be done
  4. Said it the game thread, will say it here Its best for everyone that Lou is sticking with Gregg, assuming Gregg can get outs the rest of the season. He'll blow a few more games, but in the end its best for the team if Marmol and Guzman fill other roles.
  5. cooler heads prevail its a lot better with marmol, if gregg can actually get outs during the rest of the season, and the rest of the team if gregg keeps up this meaningless position
  6. The Mets game from 2007 is still worse though, somehow
  7. shoulda just let marmol go 2, though the board would have went nuts regardless lol
  8. unbelievable Randy Wells should demand a trade
  9. we're lucky that its pudge and a PH and matsui up
  10. I refuse to believe that my friend was 100% right when he said about 2 innings ago that Kevin Gregg will give up 2 solo shots
  11. just pull gregg i know we have no one else in the bullpen but this is silly
  12. That insurance run really helps out though, all 3 of the Astros worthwhile hitters can hit homers and we'll still win
  13. Kind of a shame that Randy Wells goes out there and gives us two good starts and we aren't scoring for him , and he'll likely go back down to AAA completely thankless once Zambrano is healthy again Wonder if he could work well out of the pen?
  14. Wow, just checked the score because I don't have a TV at the moment, nice to see Wells keep up his good start Can we touch up Oswalt for a few please?
  15. This inning is awesome someone kill Aaron Miles though please
  16. We should whine about Gaudin being let go regardless, that was a weird move
  17. Hoff and Scales in are almost certainly upgrades unless that means Miles is in at short
  18. lol the ESPN gamecast shows ball 1 as almost a straight strike down the middle
  19. ok you got the 8-9-1 hitters coming up, it shouldn't be that hard
  20. bummer, at least on the bright side Young is up near 70 pitches through 2 innings
  21. i can only assume fukudome hit into a double play from the reactions on this board
  22. Too bad Ricky Nolasco realized he likes being terrible more than being really good, too, though. you take your victories where you can love to see the cardinals lose a lot more than the brewers though anyway, even if they aren't realistically our challenger in teh division or not
