  1. I really wish they would stop letting Marmol set up blown games I mean its pretty obvious when he doesn't have his control, just take him out after the first walk
  2. Clearly the Rockies employ Neifi Perez because thats teh last time i saw that happen
  3. i really really hope we beat up on the newbie pitcher please do it for once cubs
  4. kinda sucks for gregg that he has to get 4 outs in his last 2 outings still doesn't forgive him for that horrible outing last time.
  5. i havent been following the Bears hardcore but I'm startled and horrified to see that Craig Steltz could be a starter for this team
  6. One game out of 162!? YOU TROLL I HOPE YOU DIE
  7. No sort of win tonight will make up for last night. That game was just too brutal. I don't even care, this is 2005 redux, I know I sound annoying and unnecessarily negative, but its looking more and more like its going to be a meandering .500ish team So whatever, last night killed any hope I had for this season.
  8. I say yes. He wants to be the biggest superstar on the planet. Just imagine what it could do for his legacy if he was able to turn around that decrepit franchise. Its all about ego. Its hard to see exactly what his real drive is. Some people think he comes across an egomaniac, some think he comes across as pretty humble. I think he's somewhere in the middle. I've read he pretty much still hangs around Akron with his old friends, his mom and his GF and kids. Yeah, he does a lot of commercials and gets a lot of exposure, but I dunno if he actually really wants to leave. He has a nice set up in Cleveland, and is basically king of Ohio. (Ohio sucks and I'm from there so take it with a grain of salt)
  9. Just win the game you bunch of losers
  10. This is easily one of the worst managed games by Lou Piniella, and I really need only point at the Marmol substitution after a Theriot error while Wells was cruising and has like 80 pitches
  11. they're a game over .500. I'm not saying I'm not following them, I'm just saying don't watch them they are a pain in the visual spectrum
  12. As if the point couldn't be made further THERE IS LITERALLY NO REASON TO WATCH A CUBS GAME DON'T DO IT, DON'T PUNISH YOURSELF WITH THIS
  13. Whether or not Lebron stays i think depends entirely on how they do next year. If he's happy with the progress they're making (especially if they win the championship) he'll stay. If he were a free agent at this exact moment, I'd wager that he stays as well. If they make another early exit in the East next year, theres a chance he'd leave. But would he really want to go the mess that is New York?
  14. It might be time to downgrade this season's expectation from 2004 status to 2005 status hello roller coaster .500 season and 3rd or 4th place
  15. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Milton is gonna own us for however long he'll be out there So we're gonna need a good outing out of Marshall again. Poor guy, he should have a guaranteed spot already in the rotation. Woot, i'm quoting myself in arrogance

  17. yeah he actually adds something to this team unlike his evil counterpart, Aaron Miles
  18. Since when is 64.7% good? And he's only up about 5% from his season/career averages which is only 1 out of 20 so he hasn't really improved that much. Relax. In the last few Orlando victories he was nailing free throws, he seems to have the typical big man "if-I -concentrate-real-hard-I-can-make-em" free throw attitude. Its a damn shame everyone in the NBA isn't an automatic 80+% at free throws anyway
  19. I'm so so so so happy its not Cleveland - LA I just love it when the predetermined media champions go down, especially in flames like the Cavs did. (For example, I looooooved when Peyton Manning would lose in the playoffs every year, year after year the Colts would be picked by everyone to win the superbowl and each year they'd fall apart, it was wonderful. Then he beat my Bears and :( )
  20. Not surprisingly, the one game where they really make a point to give Howard the ball he goes off and completely dominates the game I hate to say it because I don't like players publicly call out their coaches, but he was completely right in demanding the ball. Now that he can seemingly make free throws at a good percentage, he's gonna be unstoppable. Still think they don't match up extraordinarily well with the Lakers though, should be an interesting series. The first few games will really show us what to expect.
  21. I can't really believe how this isn't the worst team in the majors they are certainly playing like it remember when I made my 2004 prediction? This is much more liek 2005 or 2006
  22. i really really really hate juan pierre he completely sucked when he was with us and then every time he's played us since he's destroyed us
  23. having experienced both the kind of team that scores at will and can't stop the opposition vs. a team that doesn't score runs but doesn't allow the other team to score much it is much much much more painful to be the latter
  24. The only thing that could have made me feel better after that Cubs loss was to see Lebron lose and to experience the shadenfreude of him being upset the sports gods couldn't even give me that, they are worthless and are false gods
  25. This team is a lot less talented on offense than last years team mostly from weird (but possibly predictable) declines in Fontenot, Soto and Lee Loss of Ramirez is pretty tough too. Yeah this team is pretty mediocre. Time will tell if they come around but even if they start playing the way they 'should' combined with the pretty bleh bullpen we might be in for a tough year. I'm fully expecting 2004, so buckle up guys.
