  1. This game is giving me bad vibes. Feels like an annoying loss is incoming.
  2. I’m gonna need like 8 to 9 more runs to feel good about this game
  3. How about we get another two tree runs and give our boy Brown a little cushion ok
  4. I still can’t get over how stupid the 2003 renovations were, making it the smallest stadium in the league for the 3rd largest market in the country. regardless i find it offensive whenever teams demand new stadiums after barely 20 years in use. Stadiums should last longer than that! Go cry somewhere else
  5. i dont care if its beared out in the numbers or not, but i'm weirdly more confident about the cubs against good pitching than bad pitching this is probably a form of silly cognitive bias where it "feels" worse if you don't score off bad pitching and feels less bad if its against good pitching. and my brain remembers when they do score off good pitching like they did in the Brewers opener.
  6. Brother, if you're going to do this at least set the same window of games/ABs for every player. If you do it this way you're personally cultivating the least Good window of production for everyone
  7. I wonder how much the Heyward deal weighs on their mind when they think of big FA contracts. Obviously, that didn’t work out as anyone had hoped (though it’s hard to complain when you win a World Series with him). hardest part of the Heyward saga is that there were so many seemingly good things around it: he was younger than most stars who hit free agency, he hadn’t seemed to maximize his talent yet, he was an all around good ball player. And then he came in and collapsed as a hitter his first year and slowly built himself back up but never played at the level you wa fed or expected. That kind of thing can scar a weak-willed ownership,
  8. i still wouldn't hesitate to DFA him for a roster spot when that becomes necessary, but congrats to Justin Turner who has an awesome moment and has made his impression on the season forever
  9. Dansby, if you hit a walk off here I will not complain about your ability to hit in RISP for the rest of the season. That’s a promise to you
  10. Boys….come on. It cannot be that hard to beat these guys. They’re not even trying to win!
  11. Hell yeah Palencia. Let’s finish them off
  12. at the end of the day, if the cubs can hold on in the ninth, they won a series and thats good. but man they made it really annoying and painful
  13. this always happens when a team is scuffling offensively but boy howdy I HATE missing out on multiple runners in scoring position again and again.
  14. can the cubs avoid another horrific, backbreaking collapse in this game? its possible, but i wouldn't bet on it
  15. boy howdy it would be nice to just be up 10 runs like the brewers are in around half of their games
  16. 😩 I just want my big beautiful offense back
  17. If there’s one thing the Cubs love to do, it’s struggle immensely against teams that have given up on the season already
  18. listen just assume the Brewers wont lose another game this season and you wont be as upset when it does happen
  19. horrific, inexcusable, awful loss. should feel bad about it
