As far as the Cardinals, without their ludicrous, world-historic opponent Left-on-Base stat, they don't win the division. By the end of the season it became more and more obvious their pitching staff wasn't the talent the world thought they were. Their scrubs got exposed, they worked the one horse they had into the ground, and that was that. On the other hand, all season I remained unimpressed with the hitting ability of that team, and they became mashers at the end of the season. Piscotty, Grichuk, Pham, along with Carpenter, Holliday, and Heyward (if they keep him on), is a hella fearsome bunch. It was infuriating to not find a single hole in that lineup except for the catcher spot (and what a hole it was).
