    I don't even understand the cynical 'baseball-only' side of this. Addison Russell is not a very good baseball player. I don't even think he's better than Javy defensively. Why are they doing this? It makes no sense to me from any angle.

    to be fair, that 2016 was one of the most absurd defensive teams in baseball history - I'm not sure a team BABIP-against of .255 is ever duplicatable

    For whatever reason the Cubs have been extremely bad at scoring runs against the Brewers the last 3 or so years They’ve managed to win a decent amount of those games but they’re all hard scrabble low scoring fests

    David Bote is a very jekyll and hyde player. I know this is true of all baseball players to an extent, but I'm shocked how often David Bote just gets himself out on 3 pitches like he's a toddler who's never seen a baseball before. Give yourself a chance at least buddy
