I am barely paying attention to this game aside from checking gameday from time to time but this has got to be the most astounding futility at scoring a single run in extras in the history of baseball (where there are runners on base)

He really, really was. I didn't think hitting coaches mattered that much, but he's sure making me think they somehow do. Or they don't, but he's just the one really bad exception. Same. I was always in the camp of “hitting coaches don’t matter”, but, it’s hard to say that is the case after the day and night job by our roster with almost no changes in personnel

I didn’t say he was one of the best, but he is average and has had an above average season. Stow your argument away, it’s materially and objectively wrong.
