  1. Dang. Well I guess it’s a blow out game then. Really too bad the schedule gave us them in the first game on the road.
  2. Wow this game not only sucks but is boring in how closely it follows the script of a Bears Packers game. A hope-inducing early drive that is never followed up on. Some flashy plays on defense that can’t be sustained. A kick returner being really stupid and losing yards for no reason. Again, I’m asking you, be surprising. Don’t do the same game we’ve seen 20 times.
  3. Getting run on is bad. Not good.
  4. uhhhhhhhh very bad
  5. We need consistent offensive movement, can’t have these three and out nothing jobs in the NFL anymore. Especially against Rodgers. Game feels very familiar, I hope it becomes surprising.
  6. Haha that was pretty cool but very clearly past the line of scrimmage
  7. Damn, amazing job by the defense there. Let’s see a better drive here folks
  8. Fields…..you can’t do that buddy. Gotta feel that pressure and either move and or get rid of it sooner
  9. Blegh. Let’s see how Fields responds. I want some stops. I want Rodgers hammered.
  10. Absolutely don’t like how this game is being called already
  11. Fields! Yes! Montgomery finding holes as well. And honestly, defense is looking allriiiiiight so far. The sack was huge. Rodgers is finding first downs but it isn’t without a struggle.
  12. Regarding Fields, I will continue to do the thing every homer fan does - choose to pay attention only to the positive signs and eye-popping plays, and ignore anything concerning.
  13. Expecting a heartbreaker, hoping for a win
  14. I'm not sure it did... did you see Santos' two XP attempts? Yeah fair point, the 47 yard try is far from guaranteed
  15. What a nice fun win to open the season. The first half was misery, of course. It felt again like "oh god....here we go again, it's the Bears and they're gonna just play like the Bears again" and what a nice surprise in the second half. Of course you the weather was a huge factor, as were the numerous penalties. We got a few to really break our way, although the one bizarre, never-before-in-my-watching-of-the-NFL penalty hit the Bears and cost us 3 points. But still, previous Bears teams have had things break their way in a similar fashion against good teams and still collapsed. This one didn't. It's a shame that our next game is against the fuckin Packers at Lambeau, but well, they looked terrible yesterday. So there's that. I'm just happy to see some real gumption from this team, so continue to play hard and protect Fields and don't be an embarrassment.
  16. Extremely into the pitch clock - not into the restrictions of the shift. Seems like there's still leeway to move infielders around a bit, but you can't do extreme shifts like they once did. I just like as much strategy involved in what teams can do - rewards skill and understanding. Oh well. It's also not fun to have offense so weak. I hate having a .700 OPS be a 100 OPS+
  17. Man, that article makes me feel so bad for Trubisky. Not that I think Trubisky had what it took to be a star QB in the NFL, but he sure was trying hard and left out to dry.
  18. Lmao, I love what this team is doing in the red zone
  19. Oh for gods sake Poor Justin, not a fun rookie season for this guy. Only thing we can do is hope the next administration is competent and can run a good offense
  20. I can't put into words how much I hate the idea of expanding playoffs from 10 to 14 teams Don't make the regular season as meaningless as the NBA regular season please
  21. If Fields starts I'm marginally interested in a game where he's not going to just face one of the best teams in the league and get murdered If not then whatever
  22. RIP to a legend. People disparaged his announcing near the end of his career but I always enjoyed him. Weird that his biggest legacy will be tied to a series of video games he did very little to contribute to (other than his name, which was a huge help in early years I'm sure)
  23. Thankfully I don’t think anything in the next two weeks will save him his job But I’ve been wrong before
  24. lol that was cool honestly
  25. As bad as the Bears are and how much they are the architects of their own failure, it’s kind of not fair that the refs call two different kinds of games for the Bears and opposing teams. We simply don’t get the same calls other teams do, and it’s also ok to abuse our quarterbacks. Not fun.
