  1. This is a very simple game now: Can you put together a decent drive, work some clock, and get points? If you can, you win
  2. Two things on this play: its a bad spot. I don't think he got passed the line. HOWEVER, I think its a very bad challenge - you can't see the ball, its a very tough call, they're almost certainly going to continue with the ruling on the field.
  3. Woof. The Bears have yet to fully seize on some really crippling mistakes by the Raiders. This game could be 21-3 or 28-3. That’s obviously a sign of a team with a rookie QB and a pieced together offensive roster but man
  4. Slightly annoyed we wasted all of our time outs which means its very difficult to put a little drive together
  5. BEARS. 14-3. RUNNING ATTACK. YES.
  6. This Raiders D cannot stop the run so far
  7. I love Justin Fields.
  8. After a really scary and bleak start the Bears offense is looking.....competent? Oh god damnit, dont let this be a serious injury. This is a very physical game
  9. GOOD STOP. YES ok the refs need to cool it with the flags. enough already let them play the game
  10. The tackling by the Bears D in this game is....not so good
  11. FIELDS. YES. FIRST THROWING TD.
  12. This is the first time in my entire life I've felt like the really liberal use of 'roughing the passer' has ever benefited the Bears in a tangible way Jesus, Fields is taking a beating
  13. Man, the Bears are really running the ball well. I'm impressed, particularly with Montgomery out.
  14. Uh oh. This is feeling like the Browns game all over again. EDIT: Just as I finish this post the Raiders bail the Bears out with a roughing call and now they seemingly can move the ball again. Hooray!
  15. If Dalton comes in this game I’m turning it off to
  16. There's a part of me, which I know isn't exactly true, that almost doesn't care how well we do in the standings for a few years if I at least get to see an above average offense for a consistent period of time. Now I know it isn't true. I know it would drive me nuts in an equal and opposite way that watching a consistently good defense combined with horrible offenses has for my entire life. But I just want to know what it feels like. I want to taste it. Show me what a good consistent passing attack. What would it look like to see a 15 yard pass and not think its semi-miraculous. Please. Just a taste.
  17. ONLY THE CARDINALS get to have a 40 year old pitcher effortlessly shut down one of the best offenses in the league I hate Adam Wainwright with all of my being and I’m positive I’ll never be free of him haunting my dreams
  18. Matt Nagy is a really weird guy. Regardless, however we got here, I'm glad Fields is starting the next game and we're going to see how he does with adversity. It's also going to be ok if he struggles a lot and even if he needs to sit after a string of bad games. But it's the right move and I'm glad its happening.
  19. I don’t care about “staying in the playoff hunt” one iota. I know what this team is and it’s not very good and that’s fine, because we have hope in a player who played very well last week
  20. You love to see it
  21. That was a lot of fun. We unfortunately missed the first couple drives as we waited at the gate for a friend of ours but the first game in person: fun. Fields was overall very good. Was obvious he held onto the ball a little too long on a handful of plays, and the tipped interception was not a great decision to throw right a Dlineman. But on the whole he impressed. Hope Montgomery is alright. Hope to see more Fields.
  22. Something that feels very true to me is if a second team came to Chicago it would inevitably boast extremely effective awesome offenses with great sterling quarterbacks and would never ever ever have a good defense
  23. As someone who grew up in Arlington Heights it’s really funny to imagine a Super Bowl hosted in the “downtown” there. I’m not sure they can accommodate a regular NFL game crowd, much less the tens of thousands who would swarm from out of town. Like, it was a big deal when I was a kid when a Noodles and Company opened up next to the movie theater. I can’t imagine the folks that live downtown are super stoked about this. (Though I’m sure property developers are salivating)
  24. Huh. I didn’t expect this to actually happen. Well then.
  25. This is my first Bears game ever. Moderately excited. Given it will be my first in person game, I’m assuming something really stupid like “Nick Foles starts” happens
