  1. I don’t feel anything for the Braves generally but I can get on board them ousting the Dodgers out of the playoffs I’ve really come to hate the Dodgers over the past few years and I hope they crawl into a hole and fail for a long time like they did when I first started coming around to watching baseball seriously
  2. It’s weird, contrary to 99% of rookie quarterbacks who have good legs, my biggest issue is that he actually needs to just take off more often. He’s really trying to get a pass in, and there are times where it costs him. Either way he needs to make the decision sooner. There are times when he decides to run, but it’s far too late and they got him already. Still, I thought today was good on the whole for Fields. He came out strong, struggled in the middle, and could have ended the game looking really bad, but he bounced back and had that nice touchdown drive. You wish he could have closed the game out, but it was encouraging to see him bounce back like that. It’s too bad the next few games are so brutal.
  3. I’m not mad at the defense. If you told me before the game they could keep the Packers to 24 I’d be happy with that. Offense needs to put up at least 24 in the NFL in 2021. That’s just what the modern game is.
  4. Don’t feel bad if the Packers salt the game away here. This is what they do, and they have one of the best QBs of all time. It would be delicious to see Fields get a chance to win the game though.
  5. FIELDS. MOONEY. Yes. You get a stop quickly here and a game. Very hard to expect but would be nice.
  6. This is a terribly officiated game. It almost seems like the refs are being totally arbitrary with their calls. And it’s benefited the Bears at spots too. Bizarre game.
  7. Here’s the thing, I’m reasonable about what I want to see in this game: I’d like to see the Bears score once more and see Fields finish the game feeling more confident about his throws. That’s it. A win would be nice but I’m viewing as nigh impossible given what’s happening. Doesn’t help that the coach is playing to lose in the most conservative way possible.
  8. Justin Fields is a rookie. I don’t know what to tell ya
  9. I’m baffled by the punt there. Aaron Rodgers just drove 90 yards. Field position means nothing. You’re on their 40. Play football
  10. Bears desperately need a turnover of some kind. Otherwise this is over.
  11. Yeah….this game is about to be over.
  12. Woof. Not looking good. Bad to get two big wet farts of drives there. Can only ask so much from your defense. Packers can take control now.
  13. A lot conspiring against the Bears in this game and yet they get the ball at half and are in this. Let’s horsefeathering go!!!
  14. Ok Justin. You gotta stop launching the ball up there where only a safety is standing. I know the first play was supposed to be a free play (weird non offsides call)
  15. wrong. institute the pitch clock.
  16. Honestly, I don't blame him. I bet I could only name ~12 off the top of my head, and I'm a crazy person. I blame the press for using him to make us look bad, but well, we also deserve it. I agree with David that this is certainly not an insurmountable game, but I do believe the Packers are a better team than the Bears and have one of the best QBs of all time. The Bears can certainly win, but I do think it'll take getting a bit riskier on offense and establishing a mid-to-deep passing game (not that they haven't been taking shots downfield, they have, but getting those real 10-15 yard passes established). I can't believe how many offensive linemen we've already lost this season. It worries me that we're on like, our 6th tackle at this point.
  17. I still can't believe in 2021 there's a playoff series being managed between Dusty Baker and Tony La Russa. And both of them are in a competition to sabotage their teams the most.
  18. The funniest Bears win was the one in 2010 I believe - the Packers committed something like 15 penalties and I believe it still required a Julius Peppers blocked field goal to secure the win. That's how much crazy horsefeathers had to go right for the Bears to win in those days. horsefeathers I looked it up and it was 18 penalties. Lmao.
  19. The Packers have had the Bears number seemingly my entire life, with very brief exceptions. It would be nice if this was just a normal game, a normal balanced rivalry, but the Packers have just owned the Bears the last quarter century. Matt Nagy is 1-5 vs the Packers. I’m not expecting a win but a competitive game with Fields looking good would be nice. The game plan vs the Raiders won’t be enough. This team will have to plan to score 28+ to make this a game. I can’t wait for Aaron Rodgers to retire.
  20. I feel like people aren’t paying enough attention to the fact we have a 39 year old who was recently out of football at left tackle and a right tackle who just kinda….sucks. The pass protection has never been better than “middling” in any game. Run blocking wise, however, it’s been impressive. So yeah.
  21. This is a huge one to steal. Great job by the D, great job by the running game, pretty good job by Fields. Impressive.
  22. Yeah I hated that. I think you're still in very good position but......its so cowardly to play this way. What if you miss the FG? What if they march down the field and tie the game? A touchdown wins the game. Don't play to not lose
  23. Uhhhh What was that playcall? A gimpy Justin Fields running an option? That had zero percent chance of working
  24. Can we get one more big play from Fields?? If we can convert this 3rd down its pretty much game
  25. This is, unfortunately, shaping up to be a game the Bears lose. The script is too perfect - the Bears have squandered too many massive opportunities. Refused to fully take control of the game and make sure the Raiders had no way to come back. The Raiders offense has been very close to exploding but have hurt themselves through drops. Flip the script. Don't play into what seems inevitable. Make it happen. EDIT: And Fields and company are putting a real ballsy drive together. That throw to Mooney was the real deal. GET POINTS
