  1. Schwarber saving the season would be hilarious
  2. Offensive struggles are especially frustrating Will the Bears ever have a good consistent offense?
  3. We are closer to the Cardinals for the division (whom most have rightfully given up on thinking we can catch or at least think it’s a long shot) than the Brewers are to us. To be totally transparent, and as you already know, I have Brewers phobia and hate everything Brewers. I'm also a pessimist, which made 2016 great. However, when it comes to the Brewers I'm always expecting the worst-case scenario. So, while the Cubs actually have the opportunity to take care of business themselves and knock the Brewers really far back this weekend, I just know that's not how it's going to work because that would be too much baseball happiness for me. No, I'm expecting to get swept and watch them get right back in it because that's the life of a baseball pessimist who hates the Brewers. However, getting to vent on a message board is much better than paying to see a shrink to talk about this. horsefeathers everything. The cardinals are always worse and more evil than the Brewers. It is known
  4. Lmao if the cards win this one I’m gonna pretty much give up hope
  5. I don’t know why you guys are even checking the wild card standings If we don’t win the division I’d rather not make the playoffs at all. I’m not doing 2018 again
  6. it doesn't seem like it because this team has lost ground in the standings
  7. Hideous and unacceptable. Cut multiple people before the end of day please
  8. STOP MAKING OUTS ON THE FIRST PITCH STOP SWINGING AT THE FIRST PITCH
  9. are the reds and cardinals seriously doing 2 doubleheaders back to back? and the Reds are gonna lose all 4? I guess we can hope that the doubleheader hangover effect gets doubled and makes the Cardinals way worse for the last month (it wont)
  10. jesus christ you choking dogs you're not allowed to be shut out by the brewers two days in a row FIGURE IT OUT
  11. We just got shut out, we scratched our starting pitcher, and we desperately need runs, and we put Russell and Almora back to back in a lineup lmao This is like actively sabotaging our chances stuff
  12. Almora just has no business starting for a competitive team
  13. Who cares about all this other stuff I need some place to whine about the Reds playing us hard as hell and rolling over for the Cardinals
  14. Cubs broke their Road Curse, have just beaten the 11 game over .500 Curse, what's next? Will the Cardinals actually lose a couple games?
  15. Strop's corpse is taking such a beating lately, i feel bad for him
  16. some of these Javy at bats........they're very bad
  17. woe upon me for questioning the 'batting Caratini 3rd' decision
  18. Castellanos is exactly the type of player I’d hate if he were on a rival team but god damn that bat slam gave me some feelings
  19. I’m prepared to give Castellanos a giant dump truck full of cash, but I’m not so sure the Ricketts are
  20. This is one of the most impressive months by a hitter I’ve ever seen
  21. Cubs coming off a sweep on the road, 11 games over AND facing the Vaunted Brewers AND need to win? they're gonna get swept
  22. i don't see how you can say the Cubs have a 5% chance in the game right after the one they hung like 10 runs on Thor
  23. I’m not against trading KB in principle, especially assuming we feel doubtful we can resign him, but I’m EXTREMELY doubtful we’d get commensurate return on him. A team would have to be stocked with 4+ blue chip prospects and interested in trading them to make it even possibly make sense. So, a competitive team that would also be interested in giving up their farm for a rental who plays positions they may already have sufficiently filled. I just don’t see that match happening. I’d rather ride out his tenure with the Cubs and see what happens. But my phone is always open for offers.
