    Baez will never be a patient hitter, and I’ve been convinced he really shouldn’t try to be (some hitters are just who they are and they should lean into that and not try to be what they aren’t), but he’s at least not getting himself out like he did when he came up. It would be nice if he could pair his enormous power with some more walks, but I’ll take him as he is

    we'd probably all feel better if they cubs were slightly less good at home and slightly better on the road and then the numbers wouldn't make it seem totally bizarre it wouldn't be a storyline if that were the case

    Not that Brach didn’t deserve to get ignominiously horsefeathers canned, he did, but I’m vaguely upset that he gets blasted into the sun before the most ignoble of terrible players, the one begging for release, figuratively and literally, Daniel DeScalso.

    lmao we even get infield hits and horsefeathers this is some twilight zone horsefeathers. in 4 innings we've seen more favorable things happen to the Cubs than during a 9 game road trip
