  1. wrong. institute the pitch clock.
  2. Honestly, I don't blame him. I bet I could only name ~12 off the top of my head, and I'm a crazy person. I blame the press for using him to make us look bad, but well, we also deserve it. I agree with David that this is certainly not an insurmountable game, but I do believe the Packers are a better team than the Bears and have one of the best QBs of all time. The Bears can certainly win, but I do think it'll take getting a bit riskier on offense and establishing a mid-to-deep passing game (not that they haven't been taking shots downfield, they have, but getting those real 10-15 yard passes established). I can't believe how many offensive linemen we've already lost this season. It worries me that we're on like, our 6th tackle at this point.
  3. I still can't believe in 2021 there's a playoff series being managed between Dusty Baker and Tony La Russa. And both of them are in a competition to sabotage their teams the most.
  4. The funniest Bears win was the one in 2010 I believe - the Packers committed something like 15 penalties and I believe it still required a Julius Peppers blocked field goal to secure the win. That's how much crazy horsefeathers had to go right for the Bears to win in those days. horsefeathers I looked it up and it was 18 penalties. Lmao.
  5. The Packers have had the Bears number seemingly my entire life, with very brief exceptions. It would be nice if this was just a normal game, a normal balanced rivalry, but the Packers have just owned the Bears the last quarter century. Matt Nagy is 1-5 vs the Packers. I’m not expecting a win but a competitive game with Fields looking good would be nice. The game plan vs the Raiders won’t be enough. This team will have to plan to score 28+ to make this a game. I can’t wait for Aaron Rodgers to retire.
  6. I feel like people aren’t paying enough attention to the fact we have a 39 year old who was recently out of football at left tackle and a right tackle who just kinda….sucks. The pass protection has never been better than “middling” in any game. Run blocking wise, however, it’s been impressive. So yeah.
  7. This is a huge one to steal. Great job by the D, great job by the running game, pretty good job by Fields. Impressive.
  8. Yeah I hated that. I think you're still in very good position but......its so cowardly to play this way. What if you miss the FG? What if they march down the field and tie the game? A touchdown wins the game. Don't play to not lose
  9. Uhhhh What was that playcall? A gimpy Justin Fields running an option? That had zero percent chance of working
  10. Can we get one more big play from Fields?? If we can convert this 3rd down its pretty much game
  11. This is, unfortunately, shaping up to be a game the Bears lose. The script is too perfect - the Bears have squandered too many massive opportunities. Refused to fully take control of the game and make sure the Raiders had no way to come back. The Raiders offense has been very close to exploding but have hurt themselves through drops. Flip the script. Don't play into what seems inevitable. Make it happen. EDIT: And Fields and company are putting a real ballsy drive together. That throw to Mooney was the real deal. GET POINTS
  12. This is a very simple game now: Can you put together a decent drive, work some clock, and get points? If you can, you win
  13. Two things on this play: its a bad spot. I don't think he got passed the line. HOWEVER, I think its a very bad challenge - you can't see the ball, its a very tough call, they're almost certainly going to continue with the ruling on the field.
  14. Woof. The Bears have yet to fully seize on some really crippling mistakes by the Raiders. This game could be 21-3 or 28-3. That’s obviously a sign of a team with a rookie QB and a pieced together offensive roster but man
  15. Slightly annoyed we wasted all of our time outs which means its very difficult to put a little drive together
  16. BEARS. 14-3. RUNNING ATTACK. YES.
  17. This Raiders D cannot stop the run so far
  18. I love Justin Fields.
  19. After a really scary and bleak start the Bears offense is looking.....competent? Oh god damnit, dont let this be a serious injury. This is a very physical game
  20. GOOD STOP. YES ok the refs need to cool it with the flags. enough already let them play the game
  21. The tackling by the Bears D in this game is....not so good
  22. FIELDS. YES. FIRST THROWING TD.
  23. This is the first time in my entire life I've felt like the really liberal use of 'roughing the passer' has ever benefited the Bears in a tangible way Jesus, Fields is taking a beating
  24. Man, the Bears are really running the ball well. I'm impressed, particularly with Montgomery out.
  25. Uh oh. This is feeling like the Browns game all over again. EDIT: Just as I finish this post the Raiders bail the Bears out with a roughing call and now they seemingly can move the ball again. Hooray!
