  1. Yeah I wrote that before I saw the missed field goal lol
  2. This is the equivalent of a game winning drive opportunity for Fields LET HIM THROW THE BALL PLEASE
  3. Third and a million yards….Washington has us where they want us
  4. Very oddly reff’d game. Definitely biased against the Bears and hilariously it shouldn’t matter, but the Bears should win going away and they are instead too stupid and injured to just blow a team out
  5. If there’s one thing the Bears defense loves to do, it’s give up conversions on 3rd and long
  6. MAYBE DONT JUST CALL TWO USELESS RUNS TO START OFF THE PIVOTAL DRIVE AND LET FIELDS THROW ON FIRST OR SECOND DOWN GOOD GOD
  7. 30 points is nothing special in the NFL in 2023, it’s far from a win guarantee
  8. I think more or less Fields will have to win this game again
  9. I’m a tad confused why when you’re down to literally using your fullback as a running back you run two plays in a row smashing him into the line for like 2 yards Oh well whatever
  10. If the Bears manage to lose this game Eberflus needs to be fired tomorrow TOMORROW
  11. Eberflus is a clown, but I’m glad I didn’t completely give up hope on Fields
  12. I’m gonna end up super mad they lost the Denver game arent I
  13. We’re rather depressingly back in the position of watching these games solely to evaluate whatever young talent we have, so a win doesn’t bother me. I’m not rooting for losses either because this team is gonna have a top 5 pick most likely anyway, and I’m over being excited for top picks for this administration. I just want to see the team competitive again
  14. Hey, listen guys. The Bears are underperforming their pythagorean expected winning percentage: by the numbers they should have 0.8 wins by now. So factor that in. (I'm putting some money on Washington)
  15. We're sadly back in the same position of just hoping Fields looks pretty good because there's very little of interest to think about for the rest of the season.
  16. I think you kick the field goal and if you lose, at least you can be mad at the defense (who cares), and Fields and the offense can feel good about the final drive. This is where my brain is now, managing the psychological make up of our QB, not winning games really
  17. He should be fired today. But if not, he should be fired on Friday.
  18. I was so outrageously mad at the end of the game partly because it was so damn *predictable* when it was 28-14 and you could start seeing the script play out. It was also against the Broncos, with the famous Marion Barber stay-in-bounds game. It all was too damn perfect. At the end of the day....the anger faded and what can you do. This team is garbage, and when your team is bad, its better to lean into being *more* bad than to just be middling. But it sucks to see Fields so demoralized, and it double sucks to have him have a sterling game get marred by two mistakes (with each arguably not entirely his fault), but....another disturbing game where Fields has the opportunity to win the game in the end and he is unable to do so. At a certain point, I hate to say it, that becomes a meaningful thing.
  19. It's not inconceivable that Fields turns it around and puts together a few good games, and suddenly the season feels, like, wayyyyy less Doom and Gloomy. Unlikely, maybe, and the trend lines are going in the wrong direction, but its definitely not *inconceivable*. I think the thing I'm most disappointed in is the coaching, honestly. I was just as optimistic as anyone else about Fields and thus, as crushingly disappointed with his start as anyone else, but man. I think we've seen enough of the coaches to know that they have no idea what the hell is going on, even if they're put in a tough position by the talent on the roster.
  20. I've come out of my self-imposed exile (I couldn't remember what e-mail address I registered this account on) to say: Boy, the Bears really horsefeathers suck huh
  21. I think it’s a shame the game virtually ended on that call, I don’t think it completely and totally swung the game, KC was definitely the better team and had momentum on their side, but it’s a shame the game has to end on that. It also robbed us of a fun ending drive for dramas sake. It was also a fairy physical game up to that point, not a lot of flags thrown in general, so it really stuck out that one was throw there. Ah well. Great game otherwise. The ads were overall pretty disappointing.
  22. Yeah that run of years was super weird and annoying because there was a ton of annoying Cutler Discourse to also get through. Poor Lovie though, still the best coach of my lifetime (well I guess technically I was around for Ditka but I was a wee baby) and really just got some bad luck down the stretch. And we had to suffer through....like 4 terrible coaches after him? Hopefully we got it right with Eberflus now, the early signs are encouraging.
  23. god horsefeathering bless it took 35 [expletive] years but we'll be free of green bay domination soon enough if there is anything good and holy in the universe the packers will experience 40 years of qb hell. its the least they deserve for their blessed existence
  24. All people who love freedom and justice are pulling for the Lions right now. Come on....put a dagger in Rodgers and send him from Green Bay in defeat, please for gods sake
