    Leadoff and CF was not the only problem. RF was as big a hole as CF last year. Pierre is a mediocre CF, Furcal is a 2nd tier SS, Giles is an outstanding RF. I don't want to hear about the "doesn't want to play here" BS. Players will play where they are offered money. You don't know if Giles wants to come here unless you try and convince him to come here. And if you're turned down early, don't just give up. That can't be your excuse not to go for the best. Furcal is a young playoff tested switch hitter, with speed, power, great range, a cannon arm and he's a second tier shortstop? Miggy Arod (3b) Micheal Young I mean I understand Furcal might be overpriced but 2nd tier? Goony we also don't know that Giles will sign with anyone anytime soon considering all the teams in the bidding. I'm not understanding what's confusing. You just basically named the first tier. (Peralta and Lopez could also be considered part of that tier, pending repeat performances.) Furcal is not as strong a player as them. He's the next step down, hence second tier. Jeter's a definite step above Furcal as well, at least as far as offense is concerned. Jeter just cant quite catch the ball like Furcal can.

    Thanks, been coming as a guest for a while, but wanted to start posting. Has anyone hurd this rumor that we are close to getting Juan Pierre for a couple of minor leaguers? My buddy told me that he heard this on AM 1000. I didn't see it posted anywhere on here, so I'm not sure how truthful it is. Please don't kill the messanger if I'm wrong. Would be great as long as it's not Murton, Pie or Hill IMO. A 1-2 of Furcal and Pierre would be among the best. Check the transactions forum, there's a nice big thread on it.

    I read that Peterson wanted Zambrano, because he said that he could fix Zambrano's motion and make him unstoppable. Duquette, or whoever, called the Rays, they asked for Kazmir, and the Mets did the deal. Has anyone see Kazmir's motion? If he isnt in Dr Andrews office in the next two years, color me shocked.

    So what? I'd rather look at the finished product than look at what side of the plate he stands on. If the guy has a .900 ops, i dont care if he's right handed, lefthanded, or if he headbutts the ball when it crosses the plate.

    obviously not, but what if he doesnt know how to do it? Obviously they need fixed, but I dont know how, and I bet neither does bc2k, and maybe Kerry doesnt either. He's been throwing the same way for a decade and a half.
