  1. Well, youre right, I probably shouldnt have said that I dont care at all, because obviously replying shows at least some interest. And the truth is that karma is a huge pet peeve of mine, because it's just something that people believe in for the hell of it. There is no reason to think that it actually exists, how could you?
  2. why do you care what other people believe? I don't care, it's just that karma is a ridiculous thing to believe in and I can't imagine how any intelligent person could fall for it. Can anyone tell me why they believe in karma? Offer me up one piece of evidence why you think karma exists.
  3. it makes me feel worse knowing that people still believe in karma, though.
  4. Hey, dont feel bad, ive gone 0-2 in the last two weeks, losing by a combined 2 points.
  5. "MY ANCESTORS SAW BOB GIBSON FORD THE OHIO RIVER, AND HIS OXEN DIED, AND ONE OF HIS SONS DIED OF DYSENTARY, BUT HE STILL THREW A ONE HITTER, ITS TRADITION MAN"
  6. lololol i checked to see if you were right, and i got a bunch of nude shots. all right!
  7. i used those same words after the cowboys game, as well.
  8. money works out well. works out well.
  9. I think it's worse to play a team that is just dicking around out there in the field, not trying. Might as well let your kids learn a lesson and toughen up.
  10. 2 weeks in a fuckin row
  11. jesus christ
  12. two words: pine.tar.
  13. how can anyone believe in karma? holy crap, this isnt the 1800's anymore.
  14. hahahhaahhaahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
  15. Yeah, I'm mostly trying to see if there is any such thing as a true "RBI man". Sheer # of RBIs has very little to do with ability, as where you are in the lineup and how many opportunities you get have more to do with that number. I know for the most part that BA with RISP varies year-to-year and most often is reflected in a player's overall effectiveness. I would assume RBIs per opportunity would vary in a similar way. I dont think there is a need to find a "true rbi man". Just look for good hitters, and try to get them in a spot in the lineup where theyre most likely to come up with runners on base.
  16. i dont know what good it would do, since it all falls back on barisp, which seems to bounce from player to player and year to year.
  17. Like XZero, I figure Walker is gone. I have no problem with Furcal + Castillo, that'll provide Hendry with his defense and give Dusty two players with good OBPs that are fast so he'll bat them 1-2. Zambrano Cy Young? Castillo and Furcal would be very entertaining, up the middle.

    HA!

im going to go 0-2 in the last two weeks, by a combined less than 10 points. you took all the luck, you bastard.
  19. Very interesting article. Amazing just how valuable Edmonds is, in that case. The Fish have to trade Lowell, and move Miggy to third base.
  20. Who cares who wins, as long as it's over soon.
  21. If Tampa Bay traded Johnny Gomes, you might as well just contract them now.
  22. You have a feeling....yet no facts on which to base that feeling. I have a feeling that Pierre is in regression and what we saw of him in 2005 will be what to expect in 2006 if not worse. I can't back it up, but I think you should trust my feeling. Well you do have Yoda as your avator, so you may know something I don't. In conclusion, the "cw" hasn't been debunked since there's not 100 years of stats on the topic. Anyone else getting sick of the overuse of this abbreviation in this thread? Not as sick as I am of seeing people completely forget to turn their brains on when reading a thread. Clever insult. Sorry that some of us do not possess an Ivy League diploma like you. It doesnt take an Ivy League education to know that you shouldnt present something as fact without actual facts, and that the correct pattern for entering a thread is to read>comprehend>post.
