  1. Why is he not great? Because he doesn't fit the mold of a great GM? Help me out here. 99 wins. World Series run. Swept the World Series champs. Tons of moves in the offseason that have panned out. How is he *NOT* great? The facts would seem to be against you.... What has he done that was so great? His team winning a bunch of games doesnt make him a great gm.
  2. hahaha kenny williams is no great gm, hell, he's no hendry, and i dont even like hendry that much
  3. There's not much value in finishing 4th. That's not a biased opinion. It's what most of America believes, and probably what the majority of sports writers will determine. Maybe the majority of people are wrong, and you're right. It's not out of the question. "Value" is ambiguous, though. It's not necessarily black & white. And I'm not sure that Pujols had better teammates around him (other than the pitching). He spent much of the season with people like So Taguchi and Yadier Molina hitting behind him. I'm sure he would have preferred the protection of Aramis Ramirez, and might have benefitted from it. Lee didnt finish fourth Mrs. Pujols, the Cubs did. Lee provided more value than your son, but the rest of our team provided less than the rest of Pujols team did, I have no idea why this is so hard for you to grasp. Unless you just dont want to because you've already cleared a spot on your mantle for your sons first MVP award.
  4. Sure, if by "1998 roadmap" you mean "least valuable of the two wins" then sure.
  5. man, that top ten list is outstanding.
  6. definitely lloyd
  7. i finished 397th with 520 points
  8. Quite a battle there, salary advantage-Guzman and the production advantage goes to Neifi. If I was Washington and that was the battle at starting SS, I'd want a 3rd option. That's why they moved Zimmerman to SS. wowowow, did they really?
  9. not enough
  10. Don't overestimate the OSU offense, it is truly horrible.
  11. Okie state is garbage, they got shut out by Colorado last week.
  12. texas 51, ou 14
  13. Well, this year, Umfan started the injury thread, just as he did last year. We all told him it was a jinx, but NOOOOO NO SUCH THING AS JINXES, right? WRONG.
  14. dobby, lets do lost nicknames.
  15. I'm not going to begrudge anyone who votes for Pujols, he had an awesome year, and no one should throw a fit if he wins, to say that Lee was less valuable because his team didnt make the playoffs officially nominates you for "i dont know too much" status. It's not Lee's fault that everyone on our team is garbage. If Lee hit .400, with 75HR and 200RBI's, but our team didnt make the playoffs, would he still not deserve the MVP?
  16. Wow, how can a coach get away with that? I don't care about the White Sox either way, but that is ridiculous, I would think a fine would be in order. You can't have managers going around acting like 14 year olds. (no offense Roast)
  17. Gee, I dont know, I think their entire season numbers may be more important, dont you think?
  18. How about "Best numbers for a playoff team while considering positional scarcity and defensive value"? So, Furcal then?
  19. Wow, Wright had like 24 errors this season.
  20. we need like 4 more dudes
  21. [expletive] you, i had the best record.
  22. Stu Scott can only see Andruw's HR total, because his lazy eye prevents him from looking at the rest of the stat sheet.
  23. They speak english in What?
  24. dont you have playoffs to lose? let us worship our own gods.
