    Quite clever considering I want Baker to be fired. :o Just trying to provide some objectivity for a change. Yeah, I saw this post, too, and couldn't figure out who IMB! was referring to. I went back and looked to see if anyone in this thread actually said they loved Dusty Baker and wanted him to stay on as manager and I couldn't find one post that said that. Maybe IMB! couldn't argue with our points, so he/she decided to try to paint as something we're not. I don't know. Find one post where I was talking to you? I was using a little hyperbole to describe our friend over there, I didn't know I had to clear that by you. Maybe you couldn't come up with a post that had any substance to it, so you decided to come up with this bs again, nice going.

    Jesus christ. If a Cub fan went to one of the god forsaken cardinal message boards and said "The Cardinals are cheating for Pujols", he would be banned on the spot. You're lucky the mods are so nice here.

    I have to disagree with you about Ortiz. Yes, he's had a great year. But ARod certainly is more valuable. While their offensive numbers are equally impressive, ARod plays defense (and a good one at that), while Ortiz DH's. This tips it to ARod imo. I put Clemens just behind Carpenter. Carpenter has 7 complete games. That's the primary factor that tipped it for me. He goes deeper into games. He's also been the leader of the Cards staff this year. And while W/L records should not mean much, there is at least something minimally to be said about the fact that his ratio of W/L is much better than Clemens. And I'm sticking with Lee over Pujols. He may have cooled off, but his yearly numbers still equal Pujols'. Ortiz is 5th in the AL in WS, behind ARod, Sheff, Manny and Brian Roberts. He's fourth in RC/G, behind Pronk, Giambi and ARod.

    I wouldn't mind seeing Lofton. I just hope some fans realize the starters' ERA may go up a bit because his defense is shaky as we saw at times in 2003. I was telling Treeman that I wanted Lofton just yesterday. Of course, I'm a moron, so he will probably suck next year.

    I cant wait till 2020 when Darren Baker makes it to the big leagues, and dusty sits him for a 50 year old Matt Murton, and then Darren kills them both with the laser bats that they will use in the MLB in 2020.
