  1. That really burns.
  2. I'm going to assume it's like that at every major football school.
  3. He has 55 RBI's because he's hit 8th so much. His Offense minus his Defense is still really, really good.
  4. tack on another ER for Carp and the game is tied. He's given up more hits tonight I think than all year. Looks like were gonna start hearing the Dontrelle Willis train going on ESPN tonight and tomorrow. Too late.
  5. I'm setting the over/under on the number of posts before oldcubsfan gets here at 10.5
  6. AD=All Day. It was his nickname in high school, plus, we already had an AP.
  7. It's AD, not AP, fool! And I highly, highly doubt he misses much time at all, one series, max.
  8. He just can't figure out a way to beat me.
  9. Maybe in the short term, but in the long-term, both Felix Pie and Ryan Harvey---IMO---will be better then Quentin. Conor Jackson on the other hand..... Quentin hit .300/.420/.550 in AAA, Neither Pie or Harvey have approached those numbers at any level. Quentin and Jackson are basically the same player. Same age, but Quentin plays OF while Jackson is a first baseman. Quentin also has more HR power, at least for now. As much as I love Quentin, Connor Jackson has the advantage in plate discipline/strike zone judgement (and Carlos Quentin's strike zone judgement is pretty good). I think the Diamondbacks prefer Connor to Carlos, so they definitely think his HR power will come. He did hit 38 doubles.

  11. i know. he's almost putting up javier valentin type numbers. WELL HE DOESNT HAVER MERCKERS BAT, DOES HE?
  12. A lot. Quentin is better than any two prospects in our minors.
  13. Barrett is one of the few Cubs I am proud of.
  14. Hahhahahhahah Aramis for Pierre. Sullivan deserves to be shot.
  15. Easier to compliment someone you dont have to worry about playing, I guess. He still couldnt resist throwing in a little jab at the end.
  16. Not happy about UCLA being favored? Not confident... im confident for you
  17. playing with kent makes everyone better, just like jordan.
  18. Neifi hatred is 20% "he is awful" and 80% "Dusty Baker is a moron". Yes, he sucks. But the real problem is that he has been 1.)in the 2 hole so much, and 2.)plays over Ronny, when Ronny (un-injured) should be getting 100% of the starts.
  19. There's a nice, huge Andy Sisco thread around here somewhere.
  20. Really? Sosa-.308/.377/.647 66HR 158RBI McGwire-.299/.470/.752 70HR 147RBI McGwire got ROBBED.
  21. plz take it easy on us next week I'm completely freaked out about Peterson, not confident about our young DL. Dont worry about our offense. As long as you are reasonably talented/big, just stack 8 or 9 men in the box and you'll be fine. We didnt have one pass attempt in the second half yesterday.
  22. plz take it easy on us next week
  23. He likes him A LOT. He already said that in the other chat, dude. Len, good to see you again, have you followed the Marlins much this year at all? Who is your pick for NL Cy Young, Clemens, Carp or Willis?
