why, do you not like winning? He doesnt like cheating. Cheating or not. I just don't like his attitude. Give me a 25 man roster full of jackasses that are good at baseball. No doubt. But most teams, not even the Cubs, can afford 25 men with the salary of Bonds. I thought you were talking about his attitude? Right I did. You were the one you brought up winning. All I said was I don't like his attitude. This has been an odd exchange. Anything to do with Bonds in HERE is an odd exchange. Your train of thought is simply fascinating. -

Lou wants 12 pitchers-that would still leave him with 11. I do like the idea of bringing up Cherrry now and releasing Miller. Then you bring up a starter next week (likely Guzman) and either demote Pie or trade Jones. Jones is the best hitting OF ATM. He is not my favorite player on the Cubs but the Cubs shouldn't be rushing to get rid of him, without being sure that Pie is going to stick. Pie is hitting half a mendoza right now, he probably wont stick.

DLee had better hit a home run soon, he's not going to keep hitting at this level unless his power comes back. No steam coming out of my ears; I'm as strong willed as you... Back on point, I'm not worried about DLee's power because he's hitting for average and getting on base at a high rate. without home runs his SLG will have a tough time maintaining. his BABIP is like .460! when his BABIP comes down and he's not hitting for power, he's going to be very bad. he needs to start hitting for power. This is what I was trying to say, I just didnt want to go to THT. He leads the NL and is behind only Mauer and Upton in the entire league. There's no way he keeps it up all season. EDIT For comparison's sake, during 2005, his BABIP was only .349.

Please stop posting in this thread, for the good of us all. ps actually don't, this whole thing will just be deleted later, so have at it. I wonder if those posts will get taken off your post count? I'd hate for these last 30 minutes of your life to have been wasted.

If you aren't going to be serious, then I'm done here. I thought we were having a detailed statistical conversation here. You're the one who jacked the thread by telling me to "move on." You're not a moderator. I actually finished second in the public vote for moderator back in 2001, and I'm assistant regional moderator at the moment, so move on. I haven't done anything to prompt moving on. A moderator wouldn't be calling someone out for posting "7000" times. You're the one who started an argument here. I come to this site because I like it, it makes no sense to discourage posting. I can't believe I'm still going on about this. You were attempting a serious argument on a topic where one wasn't needed. Much like I'm doing here, apparently. I'm just saying, there's no reason to argue with someone who thinks that two crappy players will hit a home run before Lee. It's like arguing with someone who says "Dude, Where's My Car" is his favorite movie. Who cares? Again, move on, this is stupid. (I'm only posting so I can keep up with your post count.)

Was the guy trying to "prove" anything? Not everything someone says on this website needs detailed analysis. Move on. Are you directing traffic on this message board? You're the one looking for an argument. If someone makes a point I have every right to disagree and if you don't like it you don't have to read it. You really want to keep talking about this? You hit triple digits today in posts, a new personal best! You can disagree with someone's post all you want, but it only makes you look stupid if you pick a dumb one to argue. It's not like the guy is making some deep philosophical post on the state of the Cubs front office or something, he said he thinks two crappy players will hit home runs before Lee does, it was just hyperbole and it's definitely not worth your consternation. But then again, you didn't get to 7,000 posts in 2 weeks by not posting.

Even if both of those guys hit homers tomorrow it wouldn't prove that Lee can't hit home runs. No one compared him to them, give me a break. Someone said he thinks they will hit a HR before he does. That's not even close to the same thing. Then why name two extremely light hitters? You give me a break. Because it's more dramatic than naming two average hitters? I mean, how many name players in the league don't have a HR already? You're just looking for an argument, and you picked a dumb one. Move on.
