  1. Cubs up by 83 votes! http://thenewsstar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070329/UPDATES02/70329034
  2. That's a shame! My wife is pregnant as well. But I already have a Ryne. It's a middle name and a girl, but I didn't know if I'd have anymore kids and she was my last shot! This one's a boy, so I'm thinking Aramis Lee........................ yeah, don't think the wife will go for that! LOL! On a side note: Did you hear about the Alabama fan that has a boy named Tyde (For Crimson Tide) and a newborn they named Saban. That's an understanding wife as well!
  3. Free Gas for life complements of Vance. Ethanol or methane? Diesel

  5. This will surely inspire another round of Astros votes, so please don't let up. We can win this thing! Keep those votes coming!!!! Also:
  6. This will surely inspire another round of Astros votes, so please don't let up. We can win this thing! Keep those votes coming!!!! Wow, they've received almost as many votes in the "run-off" as they did in the original voting.
  7. Awesome. HAHA! My letter said something to the effect of: The only excitement expected in Houston is Biggio getting his 3,000 hit and then what?!?! I'd rather watch the Chicago Cubs................
  8. I've invented at least 5 more e-mail addresses and voted on each. I even made a e-mail: astrosbiggiofan@yahoo.com AND THEN VOTED CUBS!!!!
  9. I submitted 6 votes via e-mail for the Cubs.
  10. When Urbina faced Sammy in game 1, I told the 40 half Cubs fans/half Marlins fans watching the game with me that if Urbina didn't throw an inner half fastball, Sammy would strike out. The first inner half fastball he threw would be deposited on Waveland. Sure enough, 3 pitches later it became reality :D That was a sweet HR. I just vaguely remember later in the series when they got back to Wrigley, Urbina finished an inning and gave a death stare to whoever it was he had just gotten out. He seemed a little mentally unstable. Seems his last few years in Venezuela haven't been to good for him. Gun charges, mother being kidnapped, then this. I wonder if the sentence will stick? I wonder about that too. You know he'll appeal and money can do wonders! My sister-in-law is from Brazil and says that the police/justice system is screwed up and full of corruption. I don't know if that means he can "buy" his way out, or what. It will be interested to see what happens.
  11. Wow! Just Wow!
  12. Man, I too think the Cardinals pitching will be bad this year, but that's no excuse to drink and drive.
  13. Yeah, it's amazing. The % are great for our son to be in good shape. He'll have a long road to begin with, but I'm confident he'll be okay w/ time. Thanks for your thoughts guys! I do appreciate it.
  14. I'm just stopping by. Some of you may know that my wife's pregnant. She's only 30 weeks along now, but woke up this morning and her water had broke!!!! Stressful to say the least! Anyway, after taking her to Ames's hospital, they transfered down to Des Moines. She's doing well, considering. Baby Boy seems to be doing pretty well right now too. They're administering steriods to try and help develop the lungs quickly, but he'll obviously have a stint in the NICU. They think he'll be around 2 1/2 - 3 lbs and she'll probably deliver sometime in the next week! Your thoughts would be appreciated! I'll let you guys know how things go! Chuck
  15. I'm in.......... already signed up.
  16. Reports in NY are that he will accept being traded, but he'd want an extension in 3/49 million range. So if the Cubs traded for him they may have him for 6 years. I believe he has 3/81 after this year, so it would somewhere in the range of 6/130 which wouldn't be back considering Texas is on the hook the first 3 years.
  17. If he does really well, maybe we can trade George Bell for him! WOO!!!!
  18. Love the jab at Dusty. It's comforting to know that we're not the only ones who detest(ed) his managerial style. Talk to most fans from SF, they knew it too!
  19. I know of him, but can't say that I remember him when he was actually in office as commish. He's a bit before my time of paying attention to front office staff, GMs, etc. Back in the days when I thought every manager knew what he was doing! LOL!
  20. Yeah, when Rojas's arm was about to fall off and Rose knew it............. he bet for his team to win! Sure! This guys says something to get a headline and comes back 3-4 years later and says something else. He's a liar and a douche and always will be. His production on the field should be noted, just like other scumbags in the past (Ty Cobb), but he should not be allowed in baseball.
  21. And a couple more: http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h230/cbbryan1/DSC00010.jpg http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h230/cbbryan1/DSC00008.jpg http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h230/cbbryan1/DSC00006.jpg http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h230/cbbryan1/DSC00005.jpg http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h230/cbbryan1/DSC00004.jpg http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h230/cbbryan1/DSC00003.jpg http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h230/cbbryan1/DSC00002.jpg
