I think if Lou wanted to walk out on this team then he would have and none of them could have stopped him. He has done it before and he will do it again. IMHO, I believe Lou is upset with what Hendry has given him to work with. It's hard for me to believe that part of the meeting wasn't Lou going nuts about needing ML talent players. Hendry has to make some moves. I'm not a big fan of the whole "firesale" talk going on here. It reminds me of a Sunday night in NYC listening to WFAN after a NY "Football" Giants loss................ if you've never heard it, it's painful to say the least. This team as currently constructed won't win, but I don't think it's such a dire situation that we need to trade all the good players!!!

Looks like Giambi may be an easy keeper next year. Out 3-6 weeks w/ a foot injury and Cashman says it could be the year. BTW, he's out of my line-up now.

I don't think prospects should count here as those guys may or may not turn out to be great - or even average. Hell, even Gordon hasn't looked so hot so far. yeah, that's what i was thinking too...just guys who currently really good. add fielder to your list of exempt guys in the top 30. he's the highest scoring exempt batter. fielder's actually the sixth highest scoring batter overall, and he'll move up after today. if i had to choose one exempt hitter, it'd be fielder or hanley...and i had hanley last year too... :evil: likewise, not including Carlos Quentin and Chris Young. Very true.

My exempts are: Igwamura, Chris Ray, J. Broxton, Saito, and Cantu. Of course, My true exempt value will be my big guys in the minors w/ Longoria, Martinez, and Pie. Last year was the first year I had to claim points for Miggy Cabrera and VMart which is why VMArt is now on Tim's team.

Another week of subpar pitching for me. I have 3 starts today to try and get back in it. I've been out of town with limited internet, so I haven't seen the daily scoring. I just hope that the first day of the week didn't screw me this week! I think I was -20 or better after Mondays games. Which was a swing of about 60-70 points! I'll be happy if I can sqeek one out this week.

That would be a bad move, IMHO. Especially considering the Rays have the hitting, they need polished pitching.

That's possible. I know I picked him up in the draft or as a free agent (I forget which) before this season started, and I can't imagine him not having been owned by somebody at some time considering his top prospect status. i thought i may have traded him to you... i think i traded kemp at some point...maybe in the soriano deal. my filthy hands have been on just about everyone. I originally had Kemp, but traded him somewhere for someone.

So that excuses Dempster? This bullpen sucks! It shouldn't even of come down to Eyre. No, I didn't mean that. Dempster is just as much (if not more) to blame for this loss. But over the course of the season Dempster has generally been solid and Eyre has been anything but. There's alot of guys that have been solid, but it doesn't excuse the overall performance of this bullpen. Dempster flat out sucked! He sucked last year and I really was looking forward to Wood pushing him for the closer spot, but we know what happened there. Eyre hasn't impressed me either. Neither has Howry. It's frustrating to see the starting pitching doing well and being ultimately screwed by the bullpen. There's no excuse for the bullpen having 11-12 loses 30 some games into the season. It's very irritating!

How many times can you say UHHHH in a rap and still be cool? I think the guy rapping is actually the D Manny or whoever. I don't think it's Milledge. Pretty bad!

Vance has to love Pence thus far. He's actually outscored Manny since I traded him. Easy win for Vance in the trade so far.

But the big question is what happened to Longoria tonight in Jackson. :( Fister hit him. No release on how he's doing. I don't expect him to be up this year anyway. TB is a bit frustrating when it comes to their prospects.
