It's basically, Chone Figgins vs. Pudge for the game. I made a couple bad decisions this week. I should have started Iguchi at second base and Maddux's match-ups didn't seem to favor him this week. I have 78 pts sitting on the bench right now. I had the same thing happen 2 weeks ago against Juan, I believe. This sucks though! BTW, Figgins is 2-2, R, 2 TB so far.............................. and Pudge is 0-1.

Ray goes to the DL. I dropped Alou, moved Ray to the DL, picked up Heilman and moved him into the RP spot.

Bad trade for the Brewers, IMHO. While I like Linebrink alot, I wouldn't have traded Inman for him. Especially considering their bullpen is pretty good already. -
I'd like to make my first drop/add post-ASB: Drop Ortiz and Add Pujols.

I have a combined 9.75 pts from C, 1B, and 2B this week. Now, I'm down by about 8 pts, the Orioles are up on the A's 2-0 and they don't bring Ray in to save the game...................... I need the Dodgers to win a close one and Saito to get the save to have a chance.

Check again. Four 20+ point starts and I'm up 50+. Of course, I'm down 3 or 4 starts to 1 the rest of the week. My offense has to come alive, and I've gotten nothing out of my relievers. Yeah, I opened my BIG FAT MOUTH!!! Now I'm down too. FREAKING GLAVINE!!!! Hopefully I can pull this week out. I'm only down 16 pts, but I'm running out of time.

Pete Rose was a HOFer before he bet on baseball too. I think they should both be in the HOF, though.

I don't know if anyone else has heard this, but FOX Sports Radio has been reporting that Cuban "is willing to spend up to $850 million to purchase the Cubs." For a frachise that appraised at $590 million, I think the Trib would have a hard time saying no to such a HUGE number. I would also think there would be some leaning done on other MLB owners to approve Cuban based on such a HUGE number. Thoughts?

WTF!!!!!! Why are the Fish resting Cabrera before the AS break? And LoDuca doesn't play either. I'm down by 15 or so, I have Maddux and Giles tonight and Juan has McCann batting and Bell in relief. BTW, I give up a king's ransom for Brad Penny to improve my pitching and bench Harang to pitch Penny. Harang over 28 pts today. Penny -8. Gotta love those apples!

well, like i said in my rejection, you're a game ahead of me in the division and i know you need a closer. if you think i'm going to do your team a favor, you're crazy. if i'm going to make a trade w/ you, i have to feel like i'm really, really getting the better end of the deal. think about it from my perspective...why would i help fill a hole for one of my biggest rivals when all i'm getting in return is a guy (beltre) i wouldn't even be able to use? and capps has outscored rivera by a huge margin this season. I'm laughing now cuz Matt just showed me what you offered him. That has to be one of the worst deals I've ever seen.. lol! he seemed like he was in a generous mood that day, so i took a shot. I must be slow tonight, I thought he was talking about the trade I proposed to Matt.................

Lynx and I didn't have much to cheer about from a pitching stand point. Hopefully that gets better as the week goes by. At least for me! LOL!

and i'm interested in trading one of my RP, but not to one of my biggest rivals in my division and not for a second rate prospect or adrian beltre's lukewarm corpse. :D LOL! There's a big difference between Beltre, a supposed "second rate prospect", and Evan Longoria. Who do you think Capps is......... the second coming of Rivera? Please! If you think I would trade Longoria, or Bruce for a pitcher that saves games for the Pirates................. your insane! The PIRATES, man!

I've been trying to trade for a month with no luck!!!! I'm still looking to upgrade at at least one position. If anyone wants to unload someone that you can't keep next year please let me know. I'm not interested in dealing Longoria right now! (Especially for a RP! - Yes, this is in reference to you ABuck!) I'd be willing to trade any of: Matsui Arroyo Harang Beltre Cameron Mulder (ON DL, will be very cheap to keep) Iwamura (Under rated 3B rookie - all exemptions remaining) Lo Duca Iannetta Ray There's a few decent prospects I have that I would be willing to trade. I'm looking to upgrade at OF, SP, C, RP. I don't need to upgrade at every position, but I'd like to at one of them. Let me know if any of you are interested.
