My pitching has been my death! I did however get three solid starts tonight to pull back ahead (only by 5pts). I'll be at a 2-1 disadvantage IF the Texas pitcher pitches tomorrow, which is apparently up in the air. I have Penny going vs SF, so he better have a good outing. I'm hoping to back in to the playoffs and pull a St. Louis Cardinals.

Hernandez looks 55 today.............. Manny's out until Sept. 3 series. I benched him, moved Cust to OF, slid Giambi into U spot.

My team just had one of those days; 70 points with just one pitching start (it helps that Marshall was the one start). Everybody was contributing. If they'd do that more often I'd still be in playoff contention rather than playing spoiler. My team does seem to have your number this year. :D AND GIAMBI SITS AGAIN! I should have just left the Utility spot unfilled. I'd be .075 pts closer anyway............................. Meh!

Well, I'm F@#$ed! My pitchers can't manage a start over 13pts, not even my Aces! I didn't catch NC tonight and had 3 starts, I'm down in starts the rest of the week. I can't switch Giambi out mid week even though Joe Torre's a [expletive] idiot and won't play him. Meanwhile, I have Mr. Jack Cust tearing up my bench with another GREAT week! BASEBALL SUCKS!

It would have been even better if I had Washburn active and Rodriguez reserved instead of the other way around. I have so many two start pitchers this week I have 11 starts to get 7 from. Last week I had to pick up a pitcher just to get 7. I'm only going to have 6. Germano in NY vs Mets makes me nervous, but I don't think I can go with just 5 starts. Should be a fairly close week.

am I undersyanding that right? it sounds like it isn't a big deal, like it could even be random. even if true, it would pretty much fall in line with similar studies. Was I the only one that thought Gary Sheffield was going to be part of this thread?

I think you may be right, but I'm still not sure why added salary effects the sale much?!?! Seriously, if Hendry signed Z long-term and added a big bat like Griffey, or Burrell.................... do you really think the sale price would drop at all. I really doubt it. I could be wrong, though, who knows!

What happened to him? Was it all just the East coast hype about his stuff? I really expected this guy to be great and now Tampa "Freaking" Bay releases him and his 7.70 ERA.

Hey! I'm due! I've had a stretch of really bad games and with the return of Giambi my offense should get a boost. Maddux started off slow tonight, but has rebounded nicely. Z on the other hand isn't looking so hot! Hopefully he can keep it a positive points start anyway.

Imagine what Z's resigning price is going to be if he continues to pitch like he is and wins the Cy Young. I hope the new owner is willing to pay more then Zito money to him. -

The only guys in the minors other then GAllagher are possibly Piggy and Holliman. Or O'Malley to a lesser extent. -
1. Non-waiver trade deadline has passed, so all players would have to clear waivers. 2. WHY? You admit that Contreres has been bad, yet your willing to give up 2 players for him? Are you a Sox fan?
