  1. I'm watching the Angels/Oakland game. Eric Chavez was just in a rundown between 2nd and 3rd. The third basemen was running him back to 2nd, threw the ball to 2nd base, the ball hit Chavez in the head bounced right to the player covering 2nd, meanwhile Chavez turns to run to 3rd. The 2nd baseman throws the ball to the Mike Napoli (catcher) who is covering 3rd and he tags Chavez out. Hope that makes sense. It was a funny looking play.
  2. Vance, at first glance I thought that was Sammy AND Rex Grossman! LOL!

    Week 1

The creme always rises to the top. ;) LOL! So are you saying I'm the milk?
  4. 39 degrees in Houston this afternoon - yikes! We're only getting up to 70 today though. Mid 30's today in Iowa. We're not expecting 40+ temps until next weekend. Can't wait for warmer weather!!!!

I didn't realize I'm high scorer thus far! SWEET!
  7. Abe............ your jersey's in Fort Worth, TX will be at your doorstep tomorrow. Let me know what you think of it when you get it!!!!
  8. It's just MIGUEL being MIGUEL.........
  9. I actually expect Lilly to be better then "average" in the NL as well. He was a solid pitcher in the AL East and he should adjust well to the NL Central. It will be interesting to see how well he pitches when he doesn't have his best stuff.
  10. i bought one of those, i really like it I'm selling them on eBay for $64.99 plus $9.50 shipping. I've sold quite a few and everyone seems to like them. BTW, I'd give anyone here at NSBB $5 off on one at my site. (I'll even do that for those of you that are fans of another team as well. I carry all teams.) http://hobbyboxsports.com/Maj2BP_ChC6800Nav.aspx You need more photos up there brah. Photos of what?

  12. The Padres do not have a gray jersey, I don't think. Their road jerseys are that urine-colored shirt they wear and they sometimes wear their blue jerseys, but I don't recall them having a gray. You're correct about SF, though. I'm pretty sure SD is the only team in the majors without a gray road uniform. The Padres where "khaki" for their road jerseys: http://www.jrsportsco.com/objects/catalog/product/image/large/Maj2AT-SDPRKha.jpg
  13. I would like them if they featured the details of those shirts. The latest edition had no trim whatsoever, and bland logos (the walking Cub and NL crest don't cut it.) Sometimes simple is GOOD!!!!! I like the Alt. Blues, personally. I'm not a big fan of the greys either. Maybe we should go back to the blue pinstripes on blue! Now those were classy!
  14. There's a bunch of us here. Hidden? Naw!
  15. LMAO!!!! I thought the same thing!

I am leaving for Chicago on Sunday, and would love to wear my new jersey to the game. Is the sizing S, M, L, XL, XXL - or 44, 48, etc? I want an XXL or 52. Tell me the easiest way to connect that with my order. g It's sized M, L, XL, XXL, and XXXL. My shipping charge is for UPS 2-5 day shipping. PM me and I'll work out something for 2 day business shipping if you would prefer.

  19. I would also, like the Boss in NY. But with the amount of money its going to take to get a deal done (and dont kid yourself, even with 300M committed over the upcoming years- no way do the Cubs go for less than 800M), its just no longer feasible. I fully expect the Cubs to go somewhere in the $1B range. Too many interested parties already that have a serious load of cash and ties. This is one of the marquee sports franchises in all of Sports, with a huge fan base, stadium, and big TV contracts already in place. Also Baseball as a whole is doing very well profit wise atm (look at Seligs comments last week), so really i dont think 1B is totally crazy. Not too many people can pony that kind of cash. I don't see them going that high. Forbes only valued them in the mid 400 million range. I think they'll go for somewhere in the neighborhood of 600-650 Million. I wouldn't be suprised if it went a little over that, but I don't see $1 Billion. (Unless the person buys the Cubs AND WGN)
