  2. If the Rockies end up getting both Craig Hansen and Manny Delcarmen, then they would be the winners in this deal. Hansen and Delcarmen are two very talented young right handers.
  3. I like the potential of Wainwright. Im really high on him. A good 1-2 punch of Carpenter and Wainwright will give teams a struggle. Carpenter Reyes Wainwright Wells Looper Not sure what you would get out of that rotation.
  4. Sounds like this would be fun.
  5. Mark Prior
  6. Lopez is garbage with the glove. He is not someone I would want handling a demanding spot for defense.

  8. http://images.tsn.ca/images/stories/20060524/weaver_63861.jpg Good luck Jeff.
  9. Cubs still need one more infielder, imo.
  10. Like who? Esteban Loaiza comes to mind.
  11. At the Convention, Hendry mentioned on multiple occasions that he had given Lou eight guys for the five spots. Based on the names he'd mention, those eight guys appear to be the following: Zambrano, Hill, Lilly, Marquis, Prior, Miller, Marshall, and Guzman. I guess Cotts might be there in the place of Guzman or Marshall. The only time I recall Cotts being mentioned is in regards to the pen. On a related notes, based on what I heard from Flieta, Hendry, and others, it appears Marmol's future will be in the pen. I can't find it in my notes, but I think it was in the Down on the Farm session where Flieta touted Marmol has having a future as a great 8th or 9th inning arm. He has alot to work on if he wants to become that dominate 8th or 9th inning pitcher.

  13. That was going to be my next pick also.
  14. I thought I had a chance at getting him.
  15. Damn. Roy was my next pick.
  16. Two pitchers in a row, Vance? Wow! Thats the way you have to do it.
  17. He is taking over the role Ross Gload had the past few years. Not that bad of a deal for the White Sox if he is actually used correctly. Erstad will become Hawk's new found love.
  18. Kirk Saarloos has alot of movement on his pitches. Not that bad of a deal for the Reds.
  19. haren doesnt totally suck ass Very underrated pitcher. One of my favorites.
  20. Please dont pick Haren.
  21. Adam Lind might be another sleeper for the Blue Jays this year.
  22. No Jeff Weaver, I'm disappointed. I may pick Jeff later on in the draft.
  23. No one has "perfect" mechanics. Chris Carpenter smokes Marlboro Reds and does indeed have flawless mechanics. Those so called "flawless" mechanics have lead to Carpenter having labrum surgery, and a bicep injury in 04 that made him miss the 04 playoffs. Carpenter is one of those "lunging" type pitchers. He lunges forward which can cause a limit in hip rotation. This is my opinion, but maybe his shoulder injury was caused by not getting enough hip rotation or shoulder rotation which causes you to throw more with your arm, which in the end leads to arm injuries. Nuh uh. His mechanics are perfect. The guy in your avatar might be close to having "perfect" mechanics. Other than that, there is no such thing as perfect mechanics. Every pitcher has a flaw.
