    It does feel bittersweet. I am glad that he will retire a Cub though. A perfect ending would be to come in and pitch a scoreless 8th with 3 k's. I'd bet he wants to retire after the game to get one last chance to pitch in front of the Wrigley faithful. If that happens I sincerely hope we gets a standing ovation.

    This happened to me once. I was getting out of a van through the passenger side door when I was something like 10 or so. I put my hand on the door jam and someone closed the big sliding door, crushing my right ring finger in the door frame. It smashed my fingernail into my finger. I remember being in the bathroom with my Dad with my finger running under cold water. I started to get tunnel vision, mumbled something and my Dad caught me as I fell into the wall/hand dryer. I woke up something like 30 seconds later. It still hurt but I was fine. It has been probably 30 years and my fingernail still has a big ridge across it.

    I have gone on record saying that Wrigley should be replaced, but that article was crap.

    Does anyone have the prospect report on Rusin? I know he was a 4th round selection in 2009 but beyond that the only information that I have makes him seem like another finesse lefty - good control of a couple pitches, K's a little under 6 per 9 and doesn't issue a lot of walks. Does anyone know what he throws and the velocity on the FB?

    Better end it soon. Castillo is the only arm left in the pen.

    Completely agree. His athleticism and arm have made him overall a decent defender. His limited OF experience has also made him look awkward and have several WTF? moments. If he had hit and run like he was supposed to (or paid to?), his defense never would have been an issue here or anywhere. Is he really that athletic anymore?

    Agreed on both points. LaHair is probably going to the outfield next year when Soriano is traded or benched.

    I'm too lazy to look it up, and I'm playing devil's advocate here, but aren't the majority of his errors of his throwing? Just to make a point before people jump all over me....I love Castro. Love the kid. But I do think OP has a point, I'd like to see a little more patience out of him and there areas of him game that could use some work. Again, I'm thrilled he's a Cubbie. I'm glad he's here and shocked quite frankly that he came through the system.

    He has 8 errors through 30 games. At that pace he'll have over 40 by season's end. I love the guy but his defense isn't that great.
