I'd still be willing to eat a much salary as possible, but it would require a package including a top 100 guy and 1-2 quality pieces as opposed to the sack of rubbish I'd have gladly taken for him this time last year. It comes down to whether or not Sori will be around by the time that management expects to compete. If yes, then keep him. Otherwise, paying him a lot of money while the rest of the team is terrible really doesn't make much sense. I don't see a much better team in 2013 so my best guess is that they trade him this offseason, paying a significant portion of his salary and getting a couple good prospects in return. I am guessing though and I could be convinced either way. You are right, he has had an excellent season and until you posted it I hadn't realized he was OPSing over .800.
