  1. Agreed Venezula's rotation is nuts though thats what gets me.
  2. I previously stated that the top team in the WBC was the Domincan team. After about half there team dropping out do you think that Puerto Rico has a legitamate shot now. My teams now Venezula Domican Republic US Puerto Rico Japan
  3. I agree I like our rotation for the season because we have a ton of arms and if somone wants a day off they can take it. On other hand though we don't have playoff ready pitchers at the end of our rotation. Zambrano,Prior, and Maddux should be alright but I dont know about Williams,Rusch,Hill,Guzman in the big game.
  4. Randle El first then I say CB, but the least pricey one because ty law is way to pricey.
  5. I think that we will have to give a a little more than Pie for Willis.
  6. Santana had the better season, but in the voting for Cy young Colon did. Colons statistics were worth more to the voters than Santanas in there eyes. I agree Santana had the better season.
  7. I'm not disagreeing with you guys about that I'm just stating that if thats the criteria that he needed to meet to win the Cy young Colon accomplished it.
  8. Colon did. According to the awards standards now.
  9. No why are you so opposed to the award?
  10. Cy young is the same thing as MVP the guy who is playing the best on the best team that is in the running will win. Lee had the best year last year yet Pujols won. His team didn't underachieve ours did.
  11. Why are you guys so opposed to it?
  12. NO WAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Those games are all pitful!!!!!!!!!
  14. So, if Carlos Zambrano goes 18-8 next year with a 1.50 ERA on a Cub team that finishes in 4th place (a team that finished dead last in offensive production, hypothetically of course) and Chris Carpenter goes 20-6 with a 4.00 ERA on a team that finished in first, you would give the Cy Young to Chris Carpenter? Yes Carpenter gets the edge. Thats the way the Award works.
  15. no I said Santana was the better pitcher, but It's a know fact if your teams doing well you get the edge. Santana had a better year than Colon, but with everything factored in he deserved the Cy young.
  16. I'd give any minor league package for Cabrera. He is much better than Murton/Pie and is extremely young as it is. So if theres a chance which there probably isn't give up what eva we need to Hill, Guzman, Murton, and Pie.
  17. ROID IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ha ha  he had a good end to his career
  18. I agree, but I still think he was second best at least in the AL last year. Burlehe was close 3 after him.
  19. It was between him and Santana last year. If it comes down to it I give the guy whos team is doing better and has more wins. As a whole probably Santana had a better season and for sure is the better pitcher. I think Colon deserved it though. Because wins is a big part in it.
  20. Then im wrong Im sorry. When it comes down to a cy young award I just don't only consider ERA which is seems like you guys do.
  21. Actually the angels were one of the worst run producing teams in the bigs. Or at least i've been told that when discussing about there lineup.
  22. It's as simple as this Colon was healthy and won games he should have. He's been a good pitcher for a long time. I dont care that some of the cubs players had a better ERA than Colon this year. They might of and might be better pitchers when all is said and done, but to say someone who is 19 years old and hasn't pitched in a major league season is a HALL OF FAMER is a little over the top. Don't get me wrong he is good and could be a very good pitcher in the major leagues, but before you guys say something that outlandish realize that that wasn't a full season and he could go nuts(Ankiel) or start doing crack(Gooden) remember they had similar starts in there careers.
  23. definitly I agree, but no HOF yet please!!!!!!
  24. You obviously haven't seen him pitch. Felix is a very dominant pitcher and he will be remembered as one of the best pitchers in the history of the game if he doesn't get derailed with injuries. Too bad he isn't going to play in the WBC. The Mariners held him out cause they don't want him to get injured. Also, the Cy Young award is overrated. I'm just not a fan of a guy who doesn't actually play a full season over a just former Cy Young winner. No offense he probably could be a great pitcher when all said and done, but dont make statements that are that outrageous.
  25. I agree and hopes that's what happens. Im pretty sure there will be some takers.
